Okay, I have been working on a house, where all of it is on a foundation, has a back deck/patio, but..BUT the living room and den are both on the ground floor, and not on the foundation. I do realize I could make a separate building, and link them with walkways, or columns and roofs, but....i don't want to lol. I would rather have it all one seamless building, but one problem. Foundations and wall behavior.
Even with boolProp constrainfloorelevation false on < think that is it... My walls either shoot up into a point or become half walls. And when I tried to roof over the point, the roof was on the floor. I have read and searched, and found an assumption of my own that it works correctly in Sims 3, but is there any way, cheat or no cheat, to get this to work in sims 2?
please help, thanks.
If you can't help, any constructive criticism on my idea would be great, because I could always change it probably.

Once you have added the wall with boolProp Constrainfloorelevation false you then take the flatten tool and flatten it to stage level

Then build walls on top

You can add windows without any cheats but if you want lower windows or doors with no stairs leading up to them delete a peice of wall from just the 'fake foundation' where you want these to go

Then add it again and then flatten

and then you can add your door and a roof

Hope this is what you were wanting good luck :)

Actually there are MANY tutorials in the wiki that address cfe and creating multiple levels, including stairs, garages, etc.

Okay new problem, the whole creating a door thing, isn't working. I followed your directions, but I am still getting the whole door with wall inside of it. It is a clear double door, and the bottom fake foundation is fine, but the upper wall part has door inside of it. How do I fix that? Or will I have to just use a solid door?

Wall/door cutouts only work for full wall heights. To get the door to not have a wall in it you will need to raise that one wall section to a full wall height.

Double door should work the same way, just make sure you take out 2 squares on the foundations instead of one! This house that I built http://linna.modthesims.info/download.php?t=392969 has got a glass door done exactly the same way so if you follow it correctly is should work. If you still have a prob take some pics and I can have a look.
