I've taken everything (custom content, etc) from one laptop (XP or Vista, but the game was flawless) and installed Sims 2 and the custom content on Windows 7 (64bit). Yes....I've put everything in the right folder(s) and I took it directly from one laptop to the other (again, no issues on the other PC).
Granted, the game is running a tad different (Graphics, etc) than it did on an older Windows version, but I've got one issue that I am wondering if it is a conflict with Windows 7 or not......
Job promotions. My Sims are not getting their job promotions even though they've got all of the next level requirements. It's bizarre. I have no job hacks (and it all worked on the other PC, anyway). Basic jobs....like law-enforcement, etc.

ALSO...when I've tried to run the game in compatibility mode with XP, the drive doesn't recognize the CD is in and it keeps asking me to insert the disc and try again. When I take it out of the compat mode, it loads (but I still have the job issue).
