no sim appearing during travel

when i travel somewhere no sim appears. can anybody give me solution? i just got the expansion yesterday and was excited to play it but now im really worried. :(

I was hoping for a response, too, since when I took my sim on vacation, there was no one around other than the local merchants and one or two locals. No other vacationers, no one congregating in public areas, so when he had a desire to play his guitar for tips, he stood in a central park and played for hours and NO ONE showed up.

Hey guys. I had the same problem where my Sim wouldn't spawn when in China, France or Egypt, but figured out it only affected the family I had active. The only way I found to fix it was to just make a new family and go from there. Sorry!

My sims can't go on Vacation to egypt or anywhere, i reinstalled everything today ran it fulled updated no mods, and it still won't load a sim into WA maps. if i have a sim going there the sim won't spawn but the map will. if there is no sim and i'm going there to edit. the game crashes. Anyone found a fix for this? i've been looking all over. :jest:

I think I figured this one out. Went to Shang Simla, and no sim appeared, and when I checked online, nobody had the answer.
So i figured I could just try some stuff, and in fact it worked.
I went to "edit town", and then "home town". Things got really weird, my house there was gone etc. Then I pressed "back to game", it loaded Shang Simla again, and there was my sim!

I happened to try that same sequence of steps, but when I went back to the game, my sim still wasn't there, so I think you were either lucky or, I just wasn't. Just saying, I don't think that that is a perm fix. It didn't work for and I ended up deleting that game.

Old thread. But if you use Twallans' Traveler and Overwatch mods, travelling will become much nicer.
