In S2 there was a cheat to flatten and build on a lot right to its edges (Even after being built on). Is there a cheat in S3 to flatten to the edge of a lot in the same fashion?

Cheers

Not that I know of, you might try a google search or asking on TS3 forums, but as far as I know, you cannot.

In sims2 you could not build everything to the lot edges, such as walls/roofs/foundations. Just fences basically. Mootilda created the Lot Adjuster to remove tiles to make your building right to the lot edge. But there is not built in cheat.

Ts3 does have the button in the terrain section to flatten the lot. Bottom far right - has arrows facing opposite direction with a line between them I believe.

I don't think you can do it with already-made world and already-placed lot. Because to make a real flat corner needs a real flat terrain from the world itself. Otherwise, you can put a new lot in flat land using World Editor tools in game.

Yup, you got it exactly right.. Its impossible to place a lot and level the edges so they are exactly perfect, and even in CAW, its difficult, as even the SLIGHTEST dip or rise can be a big difference in game.

Cheers guys, had to ask. I built a lot in Sunset which was flat to the edges and I moved it to other neighbourhoods to test out and when I moved it back to Sunset (my preferred 'hood) the edges where the fence now is have sagged. Prob should have left the original lot in place instead of moving the thing to the library... :faceslap:

You can use the flatten lot tool, under terrain tools for what you want, though this isn't succesful with all lots, it's hit and miss. Sometimes when you do this you get items floating in the air and you have to grab them all and put them down. I did it with a lot and the furniture was up in the air inside the house as well as all the plants outside, though once they all came down it was fine. The quickest way to get a house full of stuff to come down to ground level is to use the hammer and drag it over every bit of furniture in a room or on a whole level, then click undo and it all falls to it's proper place
