I'm looking for a list of the animation resource codes...

Do you mean the text strings for various sim animations (like a_idle_neutral_lookright) which can be used with Twallan's Debug Enabler?

Yes'em.

Well, let's see.

The idle animation keys can be found in the "Idles" tuning file, under the field <AnimationName>.

The other animations keys can be found in the "CASAnimationRequirement" tuning file, under the field <Animation_Clip_Name>.

Cheers. :)

I can put up a list of these for folks who don't know how to use s3pe to access them, but... Twallan, if you see this thread again... is there any chance you could add 'em all to Debug Enabler - or even to a separate hack that's just for animation? I use Debug Enabler purely for animation options and I know I'm not the only one who would love to be able to access any animation in the game without necessarily having to type all the names.

Edit: List complete. Not sure what the difference is between some of the _x and _y animations, but this is all of them from those two locations Twallan mentioned, without any exact duplicates:

An _x CLIP is the actor sim, a _y CLIP is the target sim.

I can provide an option to dump them all to a script log, if that is what you are asking.

That will be noted for future consideration.

I'd just like something that can easily access all animations a little bit quicker/easier than doing Nraas > Debug Enabler > Options > Animations > Play Arbitrary Animation > (type in stuff) ... I know many of them are available under the other menus, but there's quite a few that aren't, and having lots of poses and animations to choose from is -really- useful for story writers and movie makers and so forth.

I gather you want a "Run Animation", which displays a full list of all the animations using their Key code ? I can add that to the list as well.

Note that since I don't actually use the interactions in DebugEnabler very often, what exists and doesn't exist in the menu is a mystery to me.

I only just learned about the "Play Arbitrary Animation" when hotaru801 broached this subject initially, and I went in search of a reason why anyone would actually care about the raw Key codes.

Yeah, something like that would be good.... looping any animation, accessible via as few clicks as possible would be best. Right now I can use DebugEnabler and it works okay, but it can be quite time consuming to find the animations I want (testing each one), and playing an arbitrary animation doesn't play it on a loop, which means if it's only a couple seconds long, it takes longer to get the animation queued up than to play it - and I may have to replay it ten times or more to get it synced up just right with the animation for a second sim in the same pic.

Thanks twallan! :)

Oh jeepers, between HP and Twallan I don't know which one of you I love more. Thanks bunches. I was having a time trying to figure out S3PE... Especially since I was trying not to put any effort into modding until I started taking code classes in the fall... But thanks so much for the list HP. And thanks for just being awesome Twallan. ^_^

To fulfill HystericalParoxysm's request, I have created a new mod called The Animator.

It contains some of the functionality previously available in Chaos Mod Painting (the interaction tones being the big thing), and nests the interactions lower in the menu for faster access.

Cheers. :)
