In this tut we will build a working solarcell device similar as you can see on the following pic.

difficulty: medium

Elektra is responsable for everything which has to do with power. She will tell us how to build
such a solarcell device. Therefore we have to go to an empty lot,as here people are working hard to
expand the colony.

BUILDING THE DEVICE

cheat " movebjects on "

First we plan on the floor where the device will be build:
3 fields 5x5

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_76947452.jpg

On the 3 fields we build the following foundations:

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_b69474a4.jpg

On this foundations we build the squared monoliths:

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_969474d5.jpg

Lets go down 8 klicks with 2 modular stairs...
than we flaten the ground as on the pic
In both holes we build the following constructions :

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_3694759b.jpg

cheat " boolprop constrainFlooeElevation false "
We flaten both monoliths with the flattool

Tiles on the monoliths...

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_969475d5.jpg

Add more tiles..

Delete the helping constructions in both holes

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_96947673.jpg

Inside the holes,we go down with 3 stairs(12 Klicks)

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_969476a1.jpg

We flaten the ground and build a new helping construction :

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_36947778.jpg

3 monoliths 3x3 ...

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_569477a6.jpg

...which are flatened with the tool

cheat off "boolprop constrainFloorElevation true "

Solarcells on the monoliths

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_76947828.jpg

some more

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_d694784f.jpg

delete the monoliths
We keep the middle stripe of the jellow tiles
change colors

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_3694790f.jpg

You might use one of these fences:

1.Tunnelrailing by Ermelind(sims2collage)
2.niedriger Begrenzungszaun by Olemantiker(Insimenator)
3.Fallingwaterfenceshort by Stonetower(MTS2)

personnally ,I use a mix of them

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_f6947a93.jpg

Halfwallhelper-bottom right +left by fat-D at MTS2

Now you can delete all unuseful tiles,or make them transparent or invisible with Frillens invisible tile

powerlines(passthroughfences) to the transformer

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_7694916e.jpg

some decowork with what you have in your downloads

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_7694923e.jpg

background:

Xanathons Borgcolumns (mts2) as deco

in front:

The transformer, meshed von John Brehaut and hacked byKaty(pcsims)
This should be found in the graveyard.Otherwise you can found it in some of my lots.
It transforms power in money.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/carolus-v2/snapshot_56947450_56947d1c.jpg

The transformer is downshifted(see GDM-trick) and put in the "box".
Now the device is operational.

First visitors are coming...
Time to say goodbey.

Have fun

Here a finished solarcell device on the planet Mars.
With some decowork,it suggests vertical move and rotation :
