Well I found a tool in Milshape called Smooth Edges and I used it and it smoothed my shape but my shape went black and it said please re weld your vertices? How do I do that?
Also I've seen meshes that have like really smooth stuff and it looks really good but I want to know how to do it i think someone said something about 'weights'?

It depends on what you're trying to do. I suspect you'd do better with the Extended Manual Edit tool and aligning your normals to smooth things out. Welding and playing with non-standard tools could cause problems. Use the tools described in the meshing tutorials, and you should be fine.

hmm I never used smooth edges so I don't know what it does. To weld it you highlight the vertexes you want to weld and then go down the vertex list and select weld in the list that how ever it also welds them for your uv map and you wont be able to fix it, that's why I said to wait till the end to weld it. Any way yeah the suggested tools and suggested way to do things are always best till you really learn what you are doing. if all else fails you may have to start from scratch an remake the mesh. I've had to do that many times. yeah I have a feeling that smooth edges is in the face list any way you might have permanently broke your mesh sorry to say.
