Hello,

Okay, well I am starting a huge project that I assume will take me a lot of time. But I am prepared for it.

I will be attempting to make a new category in the age groups, so there will be a stage after the baby. I hope for this age group to be like the toddler in customising, but will have different animations and look + size.

I also hope that I could somehow mod the game so people could create a baby in CAS.

The equipment I have is: SimPE, Milkshape, Gimp, Photoshop & Poser 8.

If anyone knows of any helpful tips or tutorials that may help, they would be appreciated.

Thank you, and please say your opinions on this project.

Have you ever done anything like this before? The reason I ask is that I would hope that someone attempting something so mind-blowingly huge would be proficient in modding, meshing, animation, texturing, and working with the game's source code. And if that's the case, you probably wouldn't need any tutorials.

To be honest, I have a feeling that this is not even do-able... unless you want to take apart the source code of the game (and that could be disastrous if you don't know what you're doing).

If you still feel like going ahead, good luck! I'm not sure that you'll find much help here, though, as this sort of thing is probably beyond the ability of most gamers.

Thank you for responding,

I have a limited knowledge of everything except game code.

Maybe I should re-think this project.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it can't be done. You can't change the game code that drastically to include a new lifestage. EA only managed to do it with YAs by removing them from the neighborhood and putting them in their own little world with different time passage. Super tricky and not likely possible for us to do.
