Downloadable Fog Emitter?

Does such a thing exist? I'm on about the fog emitter that comes with ambitions of course. If someone didn't have ambitions is there a way for them to download the fog emitter anyway?

Obviously you wouldn't be able to use any of the EP2 functions but I think they'd just need base game stuff anyway like waterfalls (I think they were base game anyway).

In any case, no, there isn't - perhaps upload (forgive me for making assumptions about what you're doing) a basegame version using a pre-Amb emitter? If there are pre-Amb effects, there should be a pre-Amb object.

Uh, I'm pretty sure that the fog emitter is AMB, I had a similar problem myself when I had Late Night installed. (I only like having one expansion pack installed to destroy lag FOREVER.)

Yup! *nods head* I'm a base game only player (too broke for EPs :P ) and I use that tutorial to add steam and such :) It's a pretty good alternative! :up: It's just a pain in the @&& to get large plots of land totally smogified, because you need a gazillion fireplaces turned on. :( :faceslap:

Whiterider As far as I know it does have base game and EP1 effects but EA didn't bother to make it available to us until Ambitions. I want to use it for a contest I'm writing where I'm asking people to do stuff that requires it but I don't want to alienate those that don't have ambitions but at the same time not including those parts in the contest would sort of negate the point of the contest in the first place (imo) :(

Right, but that's using the Ambitions fog emitter, which the OP's contestants don't have.

The fog emitter comes with the patch, I believe, not the pack. If your game is updated past Generations, it should be there. In personal experience, I had it with only the Generations pack.
