No Vampires or Celebrities showing up in Sunset Valley

I've got Late Night installed, and added all 10 of the Late Night community lots to Sunset Valley.

I started a new family in Sunset Valley and began searching for Vampires, but didn't find any after a sim day.

I did some reading online then, and read that Vampires should show up within a sim week, even if you don't have any Late Night community lots in town. I even read a post where someone claimed that after 1 sim week literally half the town had become vampires even though they didn't have any Late Night buildings in town.

So I played through my sim family like normal for an entire sim week. It's now day 8, and there's STILL no vampires (or celebrities) in town. I know this because I used cheat codes to get to know everyone in town, and no one had a red background in their picture.

So is there anything I can do about the lack of vampires and celebrities? I'm getting really annoyed at the lack of vampires in town.

I downloaded Twallan's Master Controller and made my sim a celeb, talked to some others and they ended up getting celeb status. Then you can just make it so your sim isn't a celeb anymore if you want, same with vampires. I had the same problem when first installing Late Night. It kind of sucked. I really hope when i do add vamps, that the whole town isn't infected with it. Almost everyone is a celeb in my town now though. :( Kind of lame.. but there are many awesome mods here that tweak the requirements for becoming a celeb and i'm sure there are some vampire mods too. Ok, I couldn't get that mod to work you mentioned spotlight, but I think I've at least solved the vampire problem.

I started up a new game in Bridgeport, and grabbed the 'Drama on TV' family that contains a vampire, and moved them into Sunset Valley. I just fulfilled a want to 'meet a vampire' for my sim to.

I don't think I have any celebrities yet however, which is disappointing, I thought Drama on TV sounded like a celebrity family.

You can play around in Bridgeport for a second and do the same thing that you did with the vampire family. Just load up a family for a minute, find out who a celebrity is, and add the family to sunset valley.

Do you have a story progression mod? I believe they can halt spawning celebs/vamps.
