Help: Second baby to disappear in two days!

ok, so when this this happened with my Langerak family I thought it was a one off glitch/hitch but it's now happened with my Pleasant family so I'm getting worried. Both families had a pregnancy and child during story progression, I see the baby on the family tree but it is not in the house and the families have no recollection of the child. Babies can't die in the game obviously and the portraits aren't greyed out anyway so I dont know what's going on!

I have the more interactions mod, tallen's master controller and the sims 3 version of inteen. Ive had them working in 'harmony' for about a month now so it's unlikely to be a mod problem. Any ideas?

Try that first - every step, in order, and don't skip anything! Even if it doesn't say your specific problem, try it anyway, as it's a good starting point to rule out the most common causes of game issues.
