Ah a little confused!

Okay, i upgraded my windows from XP to Windows 7 64-bit. The Sims 3 works allright and i have all the EPs and Stuff Packs.

I backed up "my documents" and the "packages" folder which was in C:\\program files\electronic arts\the sims 3\mods\packages\

Now i don't know where to put everything so i get all my CC and saves back. A little help?

Your general direction should head to Computer & Software Technical Support (http://sims3.modthesims.info/fd.php?f=563) or Sims 3 Help (http://sims3.modthesims.info/fd.php?f=551)

The first one is more generic technical and computer related, the second one is more toward a how-to related to Sims 3. I guess either one is more appropriate than this forum.

Would be cool if this topic got moved there... I'm sure plenty of people making the transition from XP to 7 are having a hard time doing anything. I know i am.

Since there is no information in this thread that isn't already available to anyone who starts in the Game Help section, moving the thread there wouldn't help them. If you are having a hard time following the FAQ (or if it doesn't address the problem you're having), you are encouraged to repost in the Game Help Q&A forum.
