I did. Using Twallans mod, went into Sunset Valley and started dropping sims left and right. Total annihilation, poison, drown, you name it. That graveyard got full quick, lol. End result was about 15-20 sims wiped out in a few minutes.

A little more elaboration please! What is "rapture"? Which mod of Twallan did you use? Do you simply use that "Total Annihilation" command in Master Controller? Or there are more fancy things I didn't know about?

LOL I bet that was fun  Rapture != killing though, more like the opposite of it, so it wasn't exactly a rapture.

Geez, don't keep me in the dark. If there is a "rapture" interaction in TS3, then honestly I never heard of it. Do tell do tell.
But according to the OP, he said he filled up the graveyard fast. One is to assume that is killing.

There is no rapture interaction in TS3. Of that, I can assure you. Not in the game without any mods, or with MC. Well, as far as I know, but I feel certain.
All this talk about a rapture, is about some crazy nutjob who believed that the rapture would have taken place sometime on May 21st, 2011. As you can see, it didn't happen.

Ah sorry, the word "rapture" didn't register in my vocabulary. I think I know what is going on now. All these talks yesterday about "the end of the world" and how it would absolutely end at 6pm PST yesterday, 5/21/2011.
I get the humor now. Anyhow, while I am totally ignorant to this rather famous (or infamous) knowledge/rumor spreading around, I just happen to watch "Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles" TV series within these few days. The series is rather more engaging than I expected and it now gets me into thinking about when "the machine" will take over and cause worldwide holocast. So when someone mentioned in yesterday morning, the very first involuntarily thought that came to my mind was "the machine is going to win tonight, did John die?"

No my sims raptured themselves (somethings gone wrong somewhere) I will miss my leggley family, the first family I have actually bonded with oh and to boot I mistakenly dumped my sunset valley blank with all my little late night adaptations. To be honest I am in a complete huff with it all well nevermind back to the building board.

Well . .
The first sim of the family died, finally, from old age, but then somehow she was reverted back to life. Apparently she had somehow obtained a death flower or whatever it's called and the grim reaper skipped away.
I honestly have no idea how she got a hold of one.

On the news this morning, they said he's disappeared. Maybe he was the only person who was raptured. Then again, maybe he just skipped to Rio with all the money...

My mom thinks he died at 6pm. "Girl, please. Jesus ain't coming for you. That man is close to 200 years old, he probably died at 6."
I will say, I played the CRAP out of Britney Spears' Till The World Ends that day.

This made my day:
Reuters reported on May 21 that the curtains were drawn in Camping's house in Alameda, California and that nobody was answering the door.
Camping emerged from his home on May 22, saying that he was "flabbergasted" that the Rapture did not occur, that he was "looking for answers," and would say more when he returned to work on May 23.
Flabbergasted indeed
But back to topic: I'm a benevolent god, I don't rapture my Sims - unless they sin, i.e., they annoy me ("Lisa Bunch, I saw what you did there ... :report: ...")

*meep* I don't know how to respond. One of my Sims came periously close to being hit by an asteroid, but much like being twinkled I don't beleive in being raptured.

Flabbergasted or surprised that he didn't ascend, got left behind. Haha, dude, you were not impressive. Were you left here for being so assumptive?

Actually, I think it's a bit sad. Imagine that you are totally convinced of everything your faith tells you, including the date for the end of the world, and knowing that you failed once but being sure that this time everything must be right. And then? Nothing. I guess he's now more than just surprised. If he really believed what he said, he must be devastated now.

^^ 'Cept it says in the Bible itself that nobody can predict when the end of the world will occur, except for God Himself (Matthew 24:36 - thanks Google!)
Anyway, on topic I didn't even *think* to rapture my Sims. ...Though the other day some dumbass went swimming in the graveyard and drowned...does that count?

Anyway, on topic I didn't even *think* to rapture my Sims. ...Though the other day some dumbass went swimming in the graveyard and drowned...does that count?Well, it depends on who you think had control over the dumbass drowning. If you shouted "Drown, dumbass, drown!" into your computer and the drowning then ensued, this could be considered as a mini-rapture. If, on the other hand, you watched it drown and shouted "Serves you right, dumbass!" into your computer afterwards, your Sim may have been raptured but certainly not by you, and your exclamation is just the psychological equivalent for showing your powerlessness in the whole affair. Satisfactory, unquestionably, but powerless, nevertheless.

I will not simply disregard that ancient scriptures passing down to our generations are total garbage, worthless, or just hoaxes. Assuming there are indeed special beings living thousands of years before us possessing power, knowledge, or technology that is more advanced and unknown to us. And they may produce certain scriptures acting as guidance or actually instructions for later generations to deal with more specific things long after their perish.
The problem here is communication. After thousands of years, the content of the original scriptures, after being copied or communicated verbally, through different languages, may have been altered, a whole lot, even. And even from one original text, it can branch out in different directions and get interpreted very differently. And also, there are people who purposely misinterpreted the content for their own political, economical, or personal gains.
So coming down to May 21, 2011, 6pm PST as "the day of armageddon", how do we know for sure if this is really a prophecy originally written some 10,000 years ago but somehow misinterpreted about a million times during the course of time, or even it was a complete hoax created by someone in between for some personal gain, and with some luck, it made it into the mainstream and regarded as ... religious originals, or prophecy?
With all due respects to all the religions and religious people out there, I am not stating they are false in any way. I merely want to question what we were told to believe, aka "faith" or "prophecy", were the original intent, and not something already misintrepreted or purposely misled by someone (maybe by a king 500 years ago altering some text in some ancient religious scriptures for his political gain, burned all original copies and executed all who knew about the secrets).
P/S: There is a simple exercise in beginning Speech class in most community colleges that puts all students sitting in one big circle. One student starts in one point whispering the same message to both his left and right students and have this whisper passing down both directions of the circle. One student somewhere in the other side of the circle will be the final recipient of both messages. He is to write it down and read out loud both messages. The result of both final messages and the original message is astonishingly different. With a class of maybe 30 students and with everyone honestly relaying their messages (or at least we just have to assume they don't want to play any prank) in a matter of 10 minutes, we already see broken communication. What do we think would happen to materials being passed down over untold amount of time, through different languages (that some may no longer exist), through different people/cultures/governments/historical periods, etc... ?

You know, with a little creativity, people could in fact make a Rapture Sims 3 story. Using the pile of clothes from sims using the spa, the "fog emitter" set to make a flash/explosion, among other things, it could be done.
