I'm sorry to say this at the last round, but I won't be able to post anything. I'm going out of the country and need to do a bunch of stuff to prepare, I can't drag my PC with me and my game seems to hate me and doesn't want to be fixed so I can't just do something quickly. So I'll probably just look at the final scores on my laptop when I have everything finished. So good luck to everyone in the final round :)

Didn't mean to offend anyone :)

Ok score time. weeee. I know wah wah wah my score sucked. And I lost my 3rd place - BUT NOW IM 5TH YAY. lolz
However I AM REALLY HAPPY with my comments this round. Do you guys no how hard to think of something that was Mainstream/ trendy??? lol
And my Theatrical - A cage its not really going to be dark and gloomy is it???? she is dancing with it. and I specifically stated it was the opening scene so after that all the lights
cranking into action.
and last but not least. My backstage shot. I agree, was fully shit. no creativity went into it. But I lost 20 points because of it?? seems odd.
But I am rather happy. This has been oh so fun. Thank you very much judges :)

To whoever was interested, the cobwebs I used in Round 3 are by Luna (http://lunasimslulamai.jimdo.com/set-cripta-vistalegre/).
Also, the "extra" in the photo was the stylist (she was standing near the styling equipment, although the angle made it kind of hard to see) and the reason why she wasn't laughing was because, as explained in the comment, she was used to Danny's antics and no longer found them amusing.
@traelia: I'm sorry, I didn't catch that you were only saying that in jest (damn interwebz!). :faceslap: I just didn't want ng to feel like she was being ganged up on, so please accept my apology.

WOW. These group of people are amazing. It was good to work with a TEAM of people, who all seemed to flow. My gymnastic background come into play here. The sportswear also had a good variety, AND, I got to keep my new workout get-up. All in all, I would love to flaunt my stuff, with Idol fashion again.

I had the most amazing time dressing up as a bride. We took this shot in Queenstown, at sunrise to capture the purple hues. Everything was soft and flowing.
The hair, the make-up. I am just so speechless. This was a great ending to my time, with Roxor Models. Thank you xx.

Oh, scores! :D
...Yep, the background on the Mary Cho pic was pretty weird, that's true. My main idea for it was to mainly create a coloured atmosphere (with the lasers/lights), with all sort of strange stuff in the background, hence the statues+egyptians columns. Didn't really intend to make it have any particular meaning, just went for something that could include "theatrical" and at the same time look awkward enough to be "out" of the common idea of a background :bunny: :giggler:
Glad the Danny Bishop one had a such a good feedback! :jest:
Nooooooooow... round 4. This one is giving me hell, literally. I have a hundred of ideas and can't find the right poses for any of them. I really wanted to do Winter Wonderland, as Jorn would perfectly fit the theme, but all my attempts failed D:
So, have a "I'm not really sure of what I'm posting, but I already went crazy enough to think of anything else" kind of pic for the first part of my round 4:
Jorn Ilvonen - Round 4
Roman B
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq28/Doctor_Ruin/CountryChic.jpg
When I was told that I was going to do a bridal wear photoshoot, the "free lover" in me shivered a little. I've always seen marriage as a needless prison (c'mon, do you *really* need a ring to demonstrate eternal love?), however, I kept all the comments for myself and still went for it. After all, Roman-B is *the* bridal wear designer, refusing such a huge offer would have been very stupid of me. What to say... I definitely had a good amount of fun XD
While I still don't really dig the whole marriages/formal wear things, the setting was really beautiful. We *did* actually go to the countryside, it wasn't just a fake background. Sure, preserving my clothes from looking like a total mess after a few hours around grass and haycocks was hell -not to mention how the photographer went literally crazy to make me sure I didn't *touch* anything- but it was still funny seeing all of those super-serious professionals going all crazy to take the pictures without destroying their oh-so-precious outfits :jest:
Kissy Chicks
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq28/Doctor_Ruin/NaughtyNice.jpg
This was literally hell to make. Take a psycho photographer, add a bunch of wrong coloured lights, a ton of pose changes... and you'll get an idea of what I went through to take this "simple" picture.
Basically, the idea was already there since the start. Problem was that, according to the photographer, there was always something wrong. Put that hand up, no, not *that* much, look straight at me, turn your head on the side... nah, not like that, I mean the *other* side... mh, no, I still don't like it. Gosh, I need a coffee. We'll have to do everything from scratch.
...Yeah, that was just a short summary.
Luckily, the psycho guy really appreciated the final result and asked for this pic to become the official one to be published on magazines. At least the whole thing was worth the suffering! :jest:
P.S.: the "psycho photographer" story is not so far from the real life happenings  I *really* went crazy to find an angle to take the pic(s) of Jorn and I *really* went crazy with the lights: I wanted to add some coloured ones, but none of them seemed to fit the atmosphere, so I had to use white ones XD unlike Jorn's photographer, I'm still not 100% satisfied with this one, but I don't think I'm gonna have the time to redo it, sorry D:

Astrea, I never thought about the challenges a male model would face in this round! I think you did a great job however, given the limited male poses there are. Jorn looks cute when he's in contact with his feminine side ;) And I totally feel you on the crazy photographer thing, it has to be THE perfect angle and lighting haha. :P Also sorry if this is too late for you, but you can choose custom colors for lighting by copying the colorcode and then choosing custom in game.

Winter Wonderland - Idol Fashion
http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/5435/round4winter.png
For this shoot, we flew up to a ski resort in Montana to incorporate a sense of realism in the picture. I enjoyed wearing authentic Ikk® boots and wool stockings and throwing snowballs for the first time. The staff was extremely kind and hospitable, giving me tips and pointers.
Jungle Fever - Kissy Chicks
http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/8997/round4lingerie.png
This shoot was actually done in my hometown, Twinbrook. I really enjoyed wearing the long orange wig they provided, because it was something bold and new. The only bad part about it was that the snakeskin underwear was extremely itchy and the heels hurt my feet. Otherwise, the crew was amazing and this was a great experience.

Traelia - My own personal pose maker :) You are a machine, awesome. And I have no other words except for, THANK YOU FOR YOUR BRILLIANCE!! I love you.
And to everyone at #create expecially baka. Who helped me tweak my writing, and taught me how to use paint.net, because I am a complete weenie.
Last but not least, everyone who stuck in this competition. You people are my idols. I am not kidding. I am a total noob when it comes to sim making/ sim modeling. You all inspired me to do this. Hopefully one day I can compare :)

Idol fashion is cute cute cute!!! I love it, little bit of everything into cuteness!!!! :lovestruc In this photoshoot, they hire a sculpture artist to make many ice sculpture of me and the whole collection, he manage to make 10 of it in a week  and go crazy because of it :wtf: In the end the photographer only wanted 3 of it :wtf: poor guy... The snow is all fake but the cold wasn't, the photoshoot is in a gigantic freezer and they change it into a photoshoot set, what kind of magic is that?!

This photoshoot is very hectic, I jump into one and another set, make up and wardrobes, ground, chairs, bed, sofa, car and many more. It's all worth it though! I'm a little bit embaressed having photoshoot with so many staff and not in a studio, walking around with lingeries is not that fun :wtf: But I love working like this :giggler:

And to the judges, thank you for being kind and helpful, and also for taking on a contest with originally like 20 people in it and still offering valuable feedback to everyone.
And of course I'm happy to see such creativity here from my competitors! It's so cool to see the different things you all came up with.
Also just in general this contest pushed me to make use of my game and utilize new things that I would have never discovered, so thanks!

...outing that scammer to HP is just icing on the cake! You mean it was you? How did you figure it out? I had the most contact with her since we were PMing about judgy stuff and I was completely oblivious  ...though I'm not exactly known for my powers of observation
Thanks for all the lovely comments :) We've had our ups and downs and damn near catastrophies but I at least have learned some valuable lessons for when I get around to doing my second contest (sorry you guys were my guineapigs!) and I hope you lot learned stuff too but mostly I just hope it wasn't too stressful and you got some fun out of it :) To reiterate what someone already said, thanks to those who stuck it out and kept the momento going and also thanks to those who started but for various reasons couldn't finish, it's been great seeing so much creativity and originality from you all....right, I should probably end this before it turns into a full blown Oscar acceptance speech with tears and everything
Anyway, get crackin! :p

I came back with only a few hours to spare, but I couldn't do it this time. Realistically I am not going to be done in 16 minutes. And that's my fault. I really wanted to finish this competition too, but it's definitely rudely late to ask for any kind of extension.
Thanks for your kind words, though. I shouldn't have come here and said that in the first place, but I'm so messed up at the moment that I had no strength left in me to find another way to explain my sudden apathy.
Good luck everyone else!

Yes, to me it was obvious as soon as 2 new people came on here to ask her to upload her sim. She was also the troll that "disagreed" with our entries.I've had that happen in my own contest and seen others do it before in other's contests I was in. Gets easy to spot it. They only do that to praise themselves mainly and no one else has others coming on just to comment on their pretty sims. I knew she was the EJ and the other two and reported her to and HP. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/sisaly/zorro.gif

Wait, seriously? I was going by the countdown timer, I didn't realise we had extra time. I just knew it was too late for me to ask personally! Hmm...I could try at this, but I'm going to suck.
And yeah. I knew that member had obvious sock puppets and all, but having experience on running forums I thought I'd leave that to whoever has access to the IP addresses - was I wrong in assuming that MTS cross-references members' IPs automatically to find duplicate accounts? The sign-up rules make it sound like they do... (Though I'm not denying that s/he could hack around that too.)

Heh, well there's been some hairy moments and it's been stressful at times but after the first couple of weeks it got easier and I was able to relax about it all so I haven't been put off :) I hope to have a new one ready to submit end of Aug/start of Sept (can't do it before 'cause I'll be going out the country) but don't know if it will actually come into fruition: the general concensus seems to be that people want sim contests, not build contests :/ ...I'm all tapped out for sim contest ideas after this though

For those of you saying you would consider entering a build contest so you could improve/get experience, my next one might actually be ideal for you :p (excuse me while I shamelessly plug my next contest, lol). I want it to be open to all levels but it'll largely be geared towards those who've only ever used the basics or who've only dabbled a little in advanced techniques. The theme is that contestants are students studing to earn a degree in Architecture...your assignments being to follow advanced building tutorials that I have selected and rated in levels of difficulty (not just my opinion but from other members of the community too). The focus will be about 50/50 between technique and creativity/looking purty so (I'm hoping) it'll be more of a learning experience than just a "taking pretty pictures" contest...I hope enough people will want to learn/improve/challenge themselves that the unusual format won't put too many off. By the end of it students will have learned 15 or so advanced building techniques with myself and a couple of other experienced builders (one I've already forced into agreeing to help, lol and a couple of others I'm yet to try to convince :p ), there to provide technical support. (Hey, it's not often you have a team of experienced people there to help you understand and complete a tutorial, is it? ;) ). Anyway, hope to see some of you there but in the mean time I've heard a couple of rumours about a couple of different sim contests over the next few months. Glad to see it's picking up again, maybe I can even enter one! Yay! lol

Ooh, I didn't realise it'd been 48 hrs since I last posted, sorry. LA's right though I've literally just received the last judge's scores. Well they sent them 40mins ago but I've only just logged back in and seen them now :p Sooooo....results should be out in the next couple of hours :D
ETA: Arrgh, scrap that, I've just noticed an error that I'm gonna have to get an answer from one of the judges about, sorry. I'll make sure everything's prepped so as soon as I get the response I can post :)

Just wanted to say that I've submited my last scores and that I can honestly say that everyone did an amazing job. After my screw up in the begining everything else seems to have gone nicely thanks to missroxor's efforts. Thank you missroxor for allowing me to be a judge in your contest, and thanks to everyone who participated (minus the fucktard who tried to cheat)!

This is it, the end of our time together :( I have a rather long list of thank-yous to say. First of all a huge thank-you to the judges: sandymdh, Wicked_Poppies, Lavaster and heaven_sent_8_18 for doing what is really a thankless task and for putting up with my demands and occasional blunders. Special thanks to sandymdh and heaven_sent_8_18 for going above and beyond their duties as judges to be my sounding board and personal advisors during some of the more stressful moments. Another special thank-you to Sisaly for being wise enough to spot and oust a cheating sock-puppeteer...and of course thank-you to all the contestants for being so creative, surprising, patient and generally awesome :D I love that you were so supportive of each other (and me) for contest related issues and RL stuff. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did :)
So, I guess you want to know the scores then, huh?
In third place with an overall score of 1078.5 out of 1200....

Astraea Nevermore
1 – Roman B: I think the shot itself is lovely, however, I don’t particularly see wedding. Jorn looks so sad and melancholy (which, given his views makes sense but he is a model and should get past that) whereas a wedding pose should be happy, excited, etc. Kissy Chicks: I like how the image fits together (walls/floors lining up). Naughty does looks naughty even if it is more just an indifferent attitude naughty while nice looks more like someone lounging at home in their most worn pjs. Might be the bunny slippers. I don't feel like it is a lingerie line, more comfy and casual from his closet.
2 - Very nice photographs, good job. The first one had an odd pose, but overall it's good.
Ngluvjj
1 – Idol Fashion: I think the pose/set is lovely. Her red cheeks and nose are realistic and the pose really shows off the clothes while making the viewer want to play in the snow. The ice sculpture idea is quite original for the shot; well done. Kissy Chicks: The naughty version is very well done without being TOO trampy. The nice version is a little strange; on one hand it reminds me of Alice and Wonderland but on the other, I don’t get the bunny ears or the collar thing which I notice she is wearing (and it works) in the naughty shoot. Also, I think the nice border is a bit much and takes away from the image itself a bit.
2 - Your pictures were very cute! Your model looks very innocent. (Except in the Naughty picture! lol!) Good job. Although it would be better if the model was facing the camera in the Naughty picture.
Sisaly
1 – Idol Fashion: I like the fact that there are a lot of different outfits to see. However, I think it looks more like a catalogue than a fashion spread or billboard as was referenced in the round description. The poses themselves are good as is each scene, I just feel the overall image should have been a bit more high fashion looking, even if it is sportswear. Roman B: Nice flip from sportswear to this; pose is fitting as it definitely says it’s a look not everyone can have. The only thing that I find distracting is the image of the person with the cat. Not sure that suits a wedding but otherwise, great job.
2 - Your poses were perfect! I loved your photos! No criticism from me; they're great, love it!!
Lady Awesome/Kaylarox
1 – Idol Fashion: Think this is a great shot. I like that the focus is on your model but the designer still gets some other sportswear attention with the “extras”. The gym is very realistic as well. Roman B: I like the softness of the shot; the light, the dress, etc. The pose is nice as well. However, the words are too large and the byline is large and not necessary while the designer’s name is tiny. The Country Chick wording seriously detracts from the image as that is immediately what my eye is drawn to.
2 - Great job on both of your pictures! The first one looks very convincing and the second one is super cute! Love it! Although the second one could also apply to a wedding photoshoot, not country chick.
Nhayes17
1 – Kissy Chicks: whoa tiger! I like this shot a lot. She has such a cool, collected look about her. I might have liked to see something a bit more wild but this works too. I also like the location: the deck on the water (or so it looks). The only thing I am not loving is the Grr words. They’re big compared to the meow and even the shoot title. Roman B: Although this is inside, it reminds me more of country chic than diamonds are a girl’s best friend. It looks too rustic. With that said, the scene and pose are both lovely (although her butt is a bit big, lol (no points subtracted)). Also, why is her heart glowing?
2 - I loved your pictures! Your model looks very confident in the first picture, and very innocent in the second picture. Nice job!
Shadow_Girl 89
1 – Idol Fashion: First impression is that the photo is too dark and the words have a bad placement. You are selling the outfit so you would NOT want wording over any part of that. The scenery is nice but remember that your model is always the focus, not the words. That snowball also looks photoshopped in as I cannot tell what else it could be. If I deleted it, it would alter the feel of the image so I am deducting a point for rules. Kissy Chicks: I like the jungle-y theme but with the red/orange lettering. The contrast looks great. The color changes though: not great especially the brown. It’s not neat since it goes into the tree roots has no shadowing. Would have looked better more natural (applying a filter over a certain area instead of a brush). It is quite distracting from an otherwise good image.
2 - Your pictures only seem to match the themes when you look at the bottom of the picture. Personally, I think a more fitting background would be nice. Your model looks great, though.
Traelia
1 – Idol Fashion: Cute, cute, cute. She oozes cute. I love the clothes and the scene does look cold. It all works quite well together, even the hat which I would never be caught wearing. I feel like this outfit could appeal to teens as well as adults which seems like a designer's dream. Kissy Chicks: Again, everything is working for her. The background is lovely and I like the distant scene as well. If I were a sim, I would want that outfit; it exudes sexiness and makes the viewer think that they too could look like that. The wording, though rather large, is placed just right that it draws attention TO the model’s body rather than away from so it works in your favor.
2 - Very nice work! Your model's poses were very nice, although I do wish the background in the 2nd pic had more detail. Great overall.
Laughingtoleave
1 – Idol Fashion: The scene itself is nice though I feel like it’s missing some oomph. As for the poses, I don’t really get their “point” of being there. I know they’re modeling in the snow but the poses don’t particularly add to or take away from the scene. Kissy Chicks: I really like the trees and coloring. I would have preferred a little more focus on your model instead of centering on the two. The male pose fits nicely, however, your model looks rather like she is surfing. I think a better pose might have fit but still nicely done.
2 - Very nice photos, although the first one didn't seem very winter wonderland-y. The second one was excellent, but your model's pose was awkward, although it does imply she's acting like she's part of the jungle.
ChloroformDreams
1 – Kissy Chicks: Whoa, whoa. She is really naughty! The poses are nice as is the theme, however something doesn’t sit well with me. The image is almost too contrasting and has too much going on (the props, the colors, plus the diagonal slash) and my eyes pull back and forth a little too much. They don’t particularly seem cohesive: nice has snow so I would think naughty should have fire or some other special effect as well. Other than that though, good job. Roman B: Overall, I like the shot. The pose is great (except for her face which looks rather surprised but no points deducted for that) and makes the gown look exclusive to me. However, with the props, I think, again, there is too much going on. If the harpist had been solid it would have been better. OR delete the harpist and move the pedestal to the left so we can see the piano better, maybe with a groom on the bench. However, the image still works and fits the theme.
2 - Your photos were both great, however the pose for the "Nice" portion of the first picture looks a bit awkward. Other than that, your photos are very impressive!
