WA-Sims clones

When my SIMS return home they are cloned and uncontrollable. Games crashes

Known bug. They should have fixed this in the patch.

OK, this just happened to me like 2 secs ago. I've never had any problems with WA until now. I have my sims in France and I'm bringing them home early from their vacation. When I get them home, there's 2 Daniel's and 2 Elaine's in the same household. I didn't bother saving I exited the game. Which of course means that when I go back to play them they'll still be in France. How do I get them home safely and without clones?

I can't patch to the latest and greatest because I don't have Generations yet, but I am patched up the latest one before the Gen patch.

OK, I tried it again. Logged into Origin (or EADM in reality), fired up the launcher, logged into that and still no updates. My game won't patch if I don't log into both of those. I don't know how to do it manually... I've never done it manually. Where do I find the patch and how do I do it manually? I'd love to go back and bring my simmies home from France. Heck I'd love to get my sims back into WA destinations without fear of cloning or anything else. Thanks in advance for the help.

I wouldn't patch anyway while Sims are in a vacation world but either go back to a save before you travelled or try to go home again and try several times. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Installing AwesomeMod and Overwatch might help, too.

I wish I could... they had several things to do in France that when they finally finished them I saved the game while they were in France :faceslap: They're the only ones in a WA destination right now. All other simmies of mine are at home. I'd honestly hate to lose that couple, they've done so many things together and finished all the LTW's. I was just working on their visas to all 3 WA destinations so I could spend all that lovely money they have on vacation homes.

As for installing AM/MC and/or Overwatch, no, I'm not entertaining the idea since I really don't want to run my game with any hacks other than CC. If there's no other way then they'll be heading into the garbage in :(

Then you can only try to send them home and hope that it works after several tries. I had it once in China so far and so I reloaded that save, sent them home again and that second time they arrived uncloned.
But this was with OW and AM. They both help to prevent this, although not always, as you can see from my example. This was a travel with Generations installed, although I havent travelled since patching to 1.24 yet.
And there are several peopla who advise against patching while you are still on vacation. Do it either before ar after. And these people also advise to save before you travel, make at least one other separate save during vacation, and another separate one, when you return. This has helped me numerous times.
