After playing the Sims 2 for more than 5 years, I recently decided to finally try my hand at creating, so I downloaded the SimPe as well as the CEP. The problem is that when I open the SimPE and try to open anything associated with CEP, I get a message that says the CEP needs to be installed and has not been detected.
I have tried everything I can think of, including uninstalling and reinstalling several times. I tried using the CEP auto installer, as well as installing it manually by following the instructions exactly.
I did the "potty chair test" that is suggested in the comments section for the CEP and it was fine, so that means I DO have the CEP installed correctly, but for some reason the SimPE is not detecting it as having been installed.
Has anyone had this same issue? Does anyone have any more suggestions as to what I can try?
