Hi there,

Is there a possible way to simply make a 'legacy' object (such as pre-Late Night objects/store items) shiftable when this isn't possible in-game?

My (admittedly vague) memory of The Sims 2 remembers there being no discrimination between objects, if it was based on a wall and deco/light it would be shiftable.

I'm finding a mixed bag of objects are non-shiftable and personally I find this frustrating.

If anyone can shed any light on this I would appreciate it!

Thank you :)

Open the object in s3pe, find the OBJD, click the Grid button, look for "WallPlacementFlags," click it, and set "CanBeMovedUpDownOnWall" to true. :)

If you want to edit Store objects, Moryrie has already done so here (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,19716.0.html).

We also have some mods here making additional things shiftable, eg: http://www.modthesims.info/d/427026 and http://www.modthesims.info/d/446571 .

Just note that any object that has animated sim interactions will cause odd behavior if you shift it. The Sim will basically move into the air or into the ground when they interact with it. Mirrors are the obvious issue here; you can get a few giggles by making shiftable urinals, beds and the like, but ultimately it's probably best to leave em alone :)
