my sim rhonda befriended a bluebird while in egypt. i decided to get it a birdcage. at first the bird chirped a lot, then it got quiet, now it sleeps all the time. im wondering why it does that. do bluebirds sleep a lot in the wild? how about in the game? maybe the bird is old, i dont know. should i return it to the wild back in egypt?

update: eventually the bird woke up. rhonda was able to play with it more than once. maybe she played with it too much because i got the bitten! moodlet. it was about to go to sleep then the maid woke up the bird when she cleaned the cage. i hope the bird isnt too depressed still.

most recent update: the bluebird keeps biting rhonda! i dont know what its problem is but everytime it does, i put it in the cage. my sim takes out the bluebird because i want to keep it entertained. i think its not enough. maybe my sim should return to egypt to let it go or something like that.

Perhaps it's bored with a cage. Nothing to do but peck at that toy and eat. I'd sleep a lot too! I put mine on a tree so they can at least fly around now and again and they stay active.

Small birds can't use the trees, only large birds.

Sorry about your bird's depression. Game needs a pet psychologist :)

Good to have it confirmed that the vacation worlds have spawners for minor critters in em, anyway :) My sims haven't had time to travel yet.

is there a way to cheer up the bluebird? or maybe it could stay on rhondas shoulder or something like that. i honestly had no intension for my sim rhonda to end up like a pirate or something like that. there is nothing wrong with pirates, but it doesnt fit my sim rhonda at all.

Well that stinks.

my sim Rhonda has a pet bluebird that she befriended in egypt. now, whenever she takes it out to play with it, the bird bites her! should i let the bird go free? i feel bad about it because rhonda has had the bluebird for awhile now. more on this later, ok?

I admit I haven't played with a bird in game yet (not very much in RL either), but if it keeps biting her, why does she feel the need to keep playing with it at all? Can't she just watch it? Or maybe get her cat to stare at it?

Didn't you already start another thread on this bird? :) http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=458665

Maybe you'd like to take its adventures to the Stories forum under Community/Creativity!

Edit: merged threads :)
