So I've decided to re-install my sims 2 games (again), I'm only up to Uni and for some reason, coming to the end of the installation, it says this:

then this:

I don't know what's wrong with it! It's never done this before.
Uni is an EP that I feel like I can't play without also, but I feel like that with all of the EPs really.
EDIT: The same is now happening with Bon Voyage! :(
Help me please :(

I'm assuming this is Windows and that you're not using a virtual machine so correct me if I am wrong. Are you installing to a drive other than C:\? I had this issue when using a separate drive for the Sims 2 when I installed it on a fresh install of Windows 7 a while back. W7 wanted to keep control of the other drive and would not allow certain files to be updated. You can disable UAC and any firewall/security programs to get around it. You should disconnect your machine from the internet to do this and reconnect it when your security controls are re-enabled. It worked for my University install so hopefully it will work for you.

Yea, I have Windows Vista.
I don't touch the option where it asks you where I want to to be saved so I'm assuming it all goes to the same place which is C:\
I'll finish installing the other games though and try the ones that don't work, if that doesn't work, I'll try your suggestion. Thanks :)

IIRC, Sims 2 have the patching at the end of an installation process. First, if you have another secondary drive, install Games on that "D:\Games" or even in "C:\Games\EA Games\The Sims 2" for example. Just do it outside of C:\Program Files, I mean, as that would invoke UAC security/permission crap.
If installation is completed, but the last bit (ie patching) cannot complete successfully, don't let the installer patch, patch manually.
Please post in Sims 2 Help for Sims-related issues, this thread is locked. As states the warning in the Announcement before you post. :)
