waterline smoothing

I always have a hard time getting smooth water lines at my shore. What's the best technique to get a smooth waterline?

Its pretty difficult. I usually have moderate success with NON-straight coastlines. Maybe try having some parts that poke out more. Other than that, theres not really much I can recommend, as its all to do with the way water reacts to the land in CAW. Also, maybe you could try using the smooth terrain tool along the waterline as a last resort, I doubt it will work, but.. Anything is worth a shot, right?

You might try editing the height map at the pixel level to ensure a uniform fill along the two squares on either side of the water line. Otherwise, it helps to use Show Routing to identify spots to examine more closely and to turn on the grid to see where elevations aren't exactly uniform.
