The official sims 3 forums are broken 50% of the time. It has been that way for years. Try again at another time.

For all the money EA takes in, I don't understand how they can't run a properly functioning website.

Also keep in mind that the new download sets for this month came out yesterday and the site's being hammered more than normal. (New sets come out the first Thursday of the month and it normally takes until mid/late Saturday or even Sunday for things to calm down.
