A question about lots in the lot bin!

I only have the Sims 3 Base game, Late Night, Generations and now Pets. But since Pets installed, I have a tattoo parlor + salon, consignment shop, etc. in my lot bin. Will it work if I use those lots since I don't have Ambitions? :o

No, they are meant to be Appaloosa Plains lots if people have the expansion packs for them. I tried putting a junkyard and it showed up with a bunch of rocks instead of junk piles.
