View Full Version : Unusual Dreams?

Lets see, the weirdest one . . . would be that weird dream I had when I was five years old. I dreamed that there were these grown up men who walked over to woman standing by a door and asked, "What are you doing?" The woman says "I'm potty training." "What?" "I'M POTTY TRAINING!" " . . . No, you can't go in there . . ." (looks at the door) "it says 'quack!'" (And there were some ducks sitting on tiolets inside) Another man shouts, "Lets get out of here!" And they all run out, including the woman. Yes, I know, it makes you wonder, how could a five-year-old dream that, but still . . . it's true. What did you have?

I was having one of those nights and I must have been around 4, 5 or 6. Something scared me, I think and I went to see my mother. Dad wasn't home, so she let me crawl into bed with her. Once there and cosy I became a bit restless and started to talk. Mom told me I needed to be quiet and go to sleep or I'd have to go back to my own room. I closed my eyes and must have drifted. I saw myself sitting on the back steps, my elbow resting on my knee and my chin in my hand. I looked out at the back yard. Everything was in black and white. And I thought, "I have to stay here all night."

I was probably 12 or 13. I had gone to sleep and for some reason, I saw me and my best friend. We looked like we normally do, except for the fact that we were dressed like characters from books we're writing (the books are of no relation to each other) I said something like "Follow me. We have a mission to complete" and then I magically transported us into the game "Super Smash Brothers Brawl" (best game ever!) to the fighting platform Final Destination. Then, Link and Pit came into the game and we fought, and then we beat them (best part of the dream, bwahaha) and then I woke up.

I keep having a recurring dream where I think I have actually woken up but then I realise I'm still dreaming - this will happen multiple times in the dream. There are a number of different scenarios but the most often is in my dream something or someone is chasing me, so I'll try to wake up to get away from it so I then eventually "wake up", and go about my day but then something odd will happen and I realise I am still in the dream and then whatever I am trying to get away from will come back - this can go on and on for ages until I finally really wake up.
Apparently it's fairly common (here) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_awakening)
I also have a lot of lucid dreams (here) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream)
Most mornings I wake up exhausted from my dreams... ;)

That happens to me, or it used to. Like when I was cold, I would dream that I got up and got an extra blanket and then I'd drift off again for a while. Then I'd wake again and realize I was cold and would dream again that I got the blanket. It would go on like that all night. Those are the most annoying dreams.

Oh, nice timing. Last night, I had a Sims-infused dream. The people in my dream looked like perfectly normal people and they didn't have plumbobs over their heads or anything, but they were following Sims-based access restrictions with Sims AI, and all the objects were stuff you would see in TS2. I woke up when an older gentlemen was trying to walk under a wedding arch but his way was blocked by a platinum tombstone (ooooh...symbolism). He would approach it, realize he couldn't go through, take a step back, and approach again. I woke up before the frustrated arm-waving began.
In my best darned dream ever, I was Madeline, except instead of an old-world Paris hotel, I lived in some glitzy, futuristic Vegas-style hotel where the elevators weren't vertical but a twisting roller coaster tube that wound around the outside of this skyscraper. It was night and the tubes were lit by purple and blue lights and I whooshed along in a capsule inside the tubes. I could have slept forever dreaming that dream.
And as a kid, I used to dream repeatedly that I was being chased by a menancing vampire (my father) through the cold stone corridors of a gothic castle. As I ran through the maze-like corridors, I would pass a washerwoman on her knees scrubbing the floor (my mother), but she never looked up from her task. Yeah, my dreams were never complex enough to require an interpreter.

I keep having reoccurring dreams where I encounter a turret (Too much Portal!). I always wake up before it shoots at me though!
My favourite dream was where I was running through this enormous wooden castle thing with my best friend- it was like a giant playground. I was sad when I woke up.

Every time I see Sparklycookie's avie, it reminds me of a recurring dream I had about four years back.
So, I used to have this dream where I would be having dinner with the Cookie Monster in an empty house. His odd googly eyes would effin' wander around the empty house and then randomly focus on me while we were eating in absolute silence. Finally he would tell me that this supposed "family dinner" was ruse to get me there and that I was all the family he needed. Then he would start laughing and I'd wake up. Wut. 0_0 Explain that one to me.

Last night... I dreamed I was a man. During the dream, I went to the bathroom to check if I was really a man (I was half-conscious). The weird thing is... I wasn't really a man.

I've also dreamed that I turned into a guy before, but the "guy" I turned into was really my avatar. And, in that same dream I had, I had to go to the bathroom (it even felt like I had to) so I walk into a bathroom and it's full of moms taking pictures with their sons, computers, and someone put carpet in there. Strange . . .

First off I should mention I usually do not dream. It just isn’t something I do on a regular basis. Secondly I should mention I just recently met my boyfriend and we’ve only been out once. With lets said let me start with explaining the dream. My boyfriend and I were standing in a well lit area sounded by blackness (Abyss like). Maybe we finished dinner, honestly I do not know, but we seemed to be laughing and having a good time. We started to walk towards the darkness when a butler materialized out of nowhere holding a baby carrier.
“I am afraid you forgot something.” The butler said handing us the baby carrier.
“I’m sorry,” I laughed. “We’re always forgetting our children.”
He agreed and took the carrier and tried to balance with walking with me and its weight. Together we set off into the darkness and suddenly, somehow, the carrier was attached to a bike and I and he were walking together laughing trying to get this bike to balance between us. On this bike was a light and it only shown a little bit into the darkness. But in the darkness was absolutely nothing. I felt a bit scared of the darkness but so long as I remained with him (and the child) things where fine and I was safe.
Then I woke up and was like 0_o o_0 WTF.

Once a few months ago i dreamed me, my best friend, this girl i like, and some other friends, were hiking on some mountain in british columbia. We decided to take a break (just like to say it wasnt a tall mountain like one of those mountains govered with evergreen) and we just sat there and the grizly come and attacks the girl i liked. The bear pushed her, but the bear fell down with her. So i jumped down with them, caught and saved the girl, and a grapple gun came out of nowhere and ended in my hand. So i shot the grapple perfectly on some ledge and we landed safley, saving all of us (but there bear of corse, he got OWNED) then we each got our own hotel room at a nearby hotel/lodge. When i was just laying on my bed the girl came into my room. She said "thnx" then she kissed me. Then we maked out then we weny undercovers. Then i woke up. I was like "damn! Why do all dreams end at the good part?"
Weeks later same thing happend but when i was lying in bed and she came, i got up and my pants and underwear 0.o disapeared. Then she got down to her knees and right at the good part, i woke up.
And the funny thing was, we are 13 and we were 13 in the dream also! :!:

My best dream might have been that damn one I can't remember with Harley Quinn in it.
My strangest dream was this recurring one with this old half dead lady that was a slaver and would defy logic to pursue me. It started with this guy that had a bunch of people go into a square chamber in a desert, and all the people but me got chained to the wall. I ran away into a convenience store, and it ended. Then I have another dream where she's looking around for me at night, so I use a car to get away. Another one was where she caught me, put me in a suburban house, and activated a force field around the place. She crawled into a vent to sleep and had a butler stand outside my cell room. I escaped, but she materialized inside my car. I had about seven of these cute haunted ghosty dreams, and one with only the butler she had by himself.

I had a dream that me and a bunch of random anime/Vocaloid characters (Len Kagamine, Neru Akita, Misa Amane, and Meiko) went to a new Chinese-themed shop specifically for French bread. (and Teto was nowhere around...) We were sitting down when five circles appeared on the table, and Mom's face (from Futurama) appeared in all of them, except she was anime, and she said "Welcome to my shop, dearies... SPINELESS BASTARDS!" but for SOME reason we didn't do anything, so she asked us to order, so we ordered French bread, and while we were waiting, the little circles on the tables started showing these freaky video thumbnails, and Mom's voice said "Are you sure you would like to watch this? You SPINELESS BASTARDS!" and again, for SOME reason everything seemed normal, so Misa pressed "PLAY" (there was a play button on the table) and every circle played a video of our own death, with Mom in the background yelling "SPINELESS BASTARDS!" Len was being hung upside down until all the blood rushed to his head, and his head totally exploded, someone jammed knives in Neru's feet and pulled her upper body off, Misa had each side of her strapped to this machine that slowly ripped her in half, Meiko was locked in a room in a straight jacket where she eventually went crazy and started clawing at the walls until she clawed her fingers off, then her arms, and kept rubbing at the walls until she rubbed herself away, and I started laughing like crazy, killed all my family, then killed myself.
I was like "WHAT."
We were all freaking out, and Mom's "evil" sons brought us our bread, and bugs started crawling out of it, they were all laughing, and we were freaking out. We tried to leave but we couldn't, Mom ran into the room with her head spinning around screaming "REDRUM! REDRUM!" and circling us. Her mouth opened and a pink tentacle came out and started towards us, and that's when I woke up in a pool of sweat.
Yeah, I watch too much Futurama.

I also had a dream where there was this weird video game where you had to get this man to a bathroom (yeah, my dreams are infested with tiolet humor) and you couldn't when Yakko, Wakko and Dot (from Animaniacs) ran into the bathroom and do zany stuff so you had to run out and then back in and it was very strange . . . I woke up the last time he tried to use the tiolet. What the heck . . . I'm a female, why did I even HAVE that dream? Although I could see how the Warners were in there . . .

And the funny thing was, we are 13 and we were 13 in the dream also! Ah yes. You're first real sexual dream is always the best sexual moment of your life. I remember my first sexual dream. Matt Dillon. (I was 13, I had had kissy-kissy dreams before, but THAT... was just creepy.)
Isn't it great how I'm talking to 13 year olds about sexual dreams and violent anime?! If I was a dude, this would automatically make me a pedo.

I only have weird dreams. The least weird dreams I have are probably the sexual ones. But, even in those are some pretty WTF moments. Like dreaming that this guy I liked had a twin and well... fun times ensued.
Also there was this one time where I remembered previous dreams while I was dreaming and I was totally convinced that was my real life. I had a weird feeling of disconnect when I woke up. Again, the "memories" were of a sexual nature.

Funny, because the majority of my dreams are overwhelmingly bland, while my sex dreams are generally bizarre. Also, I have the most unarousing (at least from my point of view) sex dreams of anyone I know. Sometimes I am a man having sex with a woman - which isn't my cup of tea - the action is usually off-screen or interrupted in the rare cases where I am a woman with a man, and there was one especially weird/horrifying dream where I ended up in a lesbian orgy with several professors and administrators of the honors program at my university.

New Years Day I woke up from a dream in which a local bus driver (who I'm kind of friendly with) was a college lecturer and I'd walked out of his class after something he'd said upset me... after wandering around campus for a while I'd gone back to apologize, explained why and he'd said something like "you may want to see someone about that".
The craziest part about it - I've not been at Uni for over 7 years!
However, only 3 days later, a local bus driver got injured when high winds blew a massive tree down across the road and crushed his cab. I've been watching the buses as they pass, to make sure it wasn't the chap I "know"... I've not seen him yet to put my mind at rest :(
Though, if you want UNUSUAL, I had one years ago where I knew I was dreaming and thought to myself "this'd be a good one to tell my uncle about" - it had to have been a very silly one or I'd never have thought that... when I woke up the following morning I could remember thinking those words, but to this day I cannot remember what the heck I was dreaming about. I just know I didn't exactly wake up from it!

My last weirdo dream was a direct result of watching walking dead. We had a tiny sports car and were trying to fit lots of people into it. Ther wasn't a lot of room. Zombies were coming. Typical anxiety dream. Of course after I wake up, I went back to sleep and had a big old monster truck in addition to the sportscar. Lucid dreaming at work!

I don't remember dreams but my 5 year old used to have a dream when he was younger about being eaten by a giant cheese that chased him. My Husband finally told him next time he dreamed it he should turn around, grab the cheese and eat it. I had a weird dream last night.
In my dream, I only had one arm (my left arm) and my right was just... gone. Someone pushed me into the pool and I could only swim in a circle, apparently. Anyways, some stuff happens that I can't remember; but I get angry with a particular person that is standing by the pool, so I start swimming maniacally to create a whirlpool. Then I dare this mystery person to jump in and they do. They get sucked into the whirlpool and get transported to another dimension and then I get out and start pointing and laughing like it's the most hilarious thing I've ever seen.
When I woke up I realized I had been sleeping on my arm and it lost feeling. 0_0

Unusual/weird dreams are 100% normal for me. In fact, it would be unusual for me to have what most would consider a normal, not unusual dream.
Here's one I had several years ago:
It was when The Famous Jett Jackson was still on television. I dreamed that he and I were trapped on the top bunk (of the bunk beds I had when I was little), in my sister's room. The floor was covered in evil rats and his grandmother, Miss Coretta, was their evil leader; and her hair looked like Granny's from the Beverly Hillbillies movie after she got electroshock therapy. Also Miss Coretta was using a frying pan as a weapon.
I have had a lot more "unusual" ones than just this one.

So, I just had the weirdest dream I've ever had in my life.
Anyone Watch Ru Paul's drag race last season? You know who Latrice Royale is?
http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4auedeUk21qgb5p1o8_250.gif
Now you do.
So, I'm actually in this dream, and it takes place in my own house, which by itself is weird enough for me, but it gets way weirder. So, It's starts with me walking into the bathroom to find Latrice pinned down in the bathroom my her husband who is a giant caterpillar puppet make of polyester and plastic (like a cheap kite). It's got a vertical mouth slit and it's eyes open and close like those "stompeez" slippers It's bright orange and red with yellow accents and has about 5 segments, not counting the head. It's very obviously a puppet, but it's fully sentient. He stabs her in the stomach and she screams "BITCH, NOW I GOTTA GET TESTED." while clenching her wound. He runs past me out of the bathroom and into the garage. I look at Latrice for a second, then get this determined look on my face. I walk like a badass out to the garage. I swing open the door, and he's waiting on the other side, just outside the garage door (the one that folds up, not the regular hinge one I'm standing in). I walk forward and we have a long dramatic stare-off. I pick up a water bottle from the floor and start squirting it in his mouth. His eyes flap shut long enough for me to reach down and grab a bottle of Raid. The water bottle was just a diversion, you see. The water bottle runs out, his mouth closes, and his eyes open. He gives me this look like "that's all you've got?" then I empty the can of raid in his face. He's kinda woozy and tries to back up, then a giant knife falls from the sky and impales him, it's very cartoony.
I don't know why "things that are very obviously fake, but are actually alive" are a recurring thing in my dream. Like puppets, and things made with paper or cardboard skin. It's interesting.

I dream really freaky dreams sometimes. Like last night, when I dreamed I was a witch in the Medieval times and villagers were after me with torches, so I used my powers and struck every one of them with lightning. I also dream that I wake up sometimes, and do my morning business, only to notice I can jump out the window and fly. When I have nightmares and I can control my dreams (even though it's kind of an instinct now), I either shoot myself or jump out the window, I wake up the moment I "die".
Also, if I happen to read something, or play a game, watch a movie, whatever, right before going to sleep, I dream I'm one of the characters, or appear in the book, game, film, etc myself. It's awesome. :3

There has been outside stuff that affected my dream. A few nights ago I was dreaming that there was a cat lying on the back of my neck. Then, while I'm sleeping and dreaming, the sprinklers outside my window must have started up. So back in my dream, I hear the sprinklers start up and dream that the cat is spraying me with its disgusting cat spray. A lot of it. Also, the cat will not leave the back of my neck so I had to rip it off with my right hand and punch it in the face repeatedly with my left fist because it kept trying to jump back on my neck. What would you do? That is a lot of urine. The rest of the dream is me wandering through an empty city looking for a shower.
I think the dream was about my fear of someone I've been seeing who had begun asking me for money to pay to replace their lost cell phone. My response to that was 'I don't have that much to spare' when it should have been 'pay for your own stuff.'

I envy you all. I never remember my dreams; they are here for a minute or two after I wake up (or rather, they are here until I wake up completely) and then they are gone. I retain the general feeling but no details at all: e.g., I know I had dreams so dull that I woke up just to get rid of them but I have no idea what they were about.

I remember one very distinctly, just jumping from concrete rooftops onto other ones like I was in that one game with the chick and the skyscrapers. Mirror's Edge. And then I was in the basement of one, 49 floors below the ground, in a large, empty, weirdly lit concrete locker room, and there were people around the corners in offshoots to the room and elevators and stairs and stuff just out one of these doors, and I remember a concrete floor-to-ceiling pipe with a red pressure wheel thing on it. It was a government facility or something because everyone was getting changed into the same concrete-grey jumpsuits with their numbers stamped on the back, and my feet were melted/frozen to the floor. They were talking in what sounded like Japanese to me, I can speak it but when I had this dream it was only rudimentary Japanese, so I barely understood it. It was all people I knew from Australia and stuff around the corner.

That's easy, I remember it so vividly. It also seemed like some strange plot for a book to me :p I dreamt there was a man dying in a boat, which he pushed into the sea, so that he could die. A seagull flew towards the boat, and the seagull was also dying. As they passed eachother, their souls switched....leaving the dying man inside the seagull and vice versa.
It was strange, lol :p The next day I told the story to my dad. He said it reminded him of a book where the plot revolves around a seagull....I don't know, maybe I heard of it before and it stuck in my subconcious...but I doubt it, it was just really random.
Oh, another one was a week or so ago, actually. It was right after I watched the pilot of The Walking Dead (the series about zombies). Perhaps it was stupid to watch it after midnight, in the dark, alone in my room. But I dreamt an incredibly realistic zombie apocalypse dream that night. What was weird, it featured all the neighbours pets as zombies along with my family and friends, all trying to get at me. I woke up to zombified chihuahua's yapping at me

I had a dream the other day where I was browsing the internet and I got warped into it; I was able to change the internet any way I wanted to. No more Facebook! :Pint:

well.... this is a legit dream i had, it scared me to that my brain could conjure something so wierd. So i was in an elevator, with the cast of Hannah Montana. For some reason we were running from an orange cat in this hotel thing. Me and Hannah Montana (not the miley person mode, the hannah rockstar mode person thing) ran into a bacteria testing place. So we had to have an antibacterial shower. After, Hannah Montana broke the dryer so i had to stand on a stool naked, while people fanned me with towels. And i kept falling off the stool for the rest of the dream.

When I was little I had a series of dreams in a few consecutive nights that could be put together as a story. Took place in my kindergarten, a witch dropped by and killed everyone I knew one by one in those dreams. I vaguely remember the last dream where I was about to attack the witch after she'd killed everyone but then I woke up and the story never continued. o.O

When I was about five, I had a nightmare involving a massive dog (well, massive to my eyes at that age) and the building where we had our school lunches... Quite normal for a kid wary of big dogs you'd think, but here's the catch; a few years down the line I actively set out and managed to dream the sequel! However, what exactly occurred I wouldn't be able to tell you - I can't remember.
Recently I did have one that was weird... I'm not sure precisely HOW he got there, but I had a guy who presents a couple of British TV programmes (I refuse to name him) sitting on the settee in our front room chatting away to my family. I think I'd invited him to dinner or something similar... I woke up thinking "Why did I dream about him? I don't even fancy the guy!"

Here's one I had a few nights ago.
My son and I were somewhere, and we were forcibly herded into this van with a bunch of children in it. We were taken to this building that didn't have any visible doors, just windows. You could try to climb up to find a door, but there were things on the wall that would shoot something (I think some kind of gas) at you if you tried. One of the people who drove us made a staircase appear, and we went upstairs and inside, and it almost looked like something out of a nightclub, I was thinking Sims 2. Mostly green. Had all these lights and everything. Then for whatever reason we were given these forms to fill out.
Then I woke up and wondered what THAT was all about....

One night I had a dream where I was on a school field trip to a local mall. My friend who lives far away was there too. Some guy that was evil was chasing us through the mall so we hid in an elevator full of people. We went up and the world went black. Next thing I know we're on a rooftop of a hotel and a woman is calling me, my friend, and my 2 cousins who just randomly appeared over to her. Behind us was a broken down school bus and the elevator. We walk over to the woman. "You have the infection!" she yells and points to our feet. I stare at mine. I was suddenly barefoot and black splotches covered my hands and feet. She makes us sit in a kiddy pool while she runs tests. Soon the owner of the hotel yells at her because she is running tests here and has an infant with her. I wanted to say she didn't have any other kids with her, but when I looked to her she had a baby in her arms.
Then... it ended.

Okay, I have two. One weas pretty cool, and one was just strange.
The first one happened a long time ago, and it was weird. I was outside my school with the three guys at my school who I had had crushes on (not at the same time). For some reason, we had to get inside the school building, but I can't remember why. We couldn't figure out how to get in though (which is retarded, because there were two unlocked doors on that side of the building). Then, all of a sudden, Link comes by, and is trying to tell us how to get inside. I remember nothing after that, except for the fact that I didn't want to listen to his advice, and but was too afraid to move, because he would kill me if I did. Eventually, I just went "screw this" and ran. Then I turned up at my house, where Legolas was mowing my lawn. I guess I like to dream about hot blonde boys with pointed ears.
The second was the basis for a story I'm writing. I "woke" up in the dream in the middle of a field at sunset. I was in Hyrule Field, on a hill, looking at Hyrule Town, which was in a panic. Guards running everywhere, fires even. I looked down on the city and felt sorrow. Someone spoke to me, or made a noise. I turned to my left and saw Link. He was angry at me, but was concealing it very well. I don't remember if we said anything - it feels like we should have - and then he went to attack me. I wasn't weaponless, I just didn't feel threatened, strangely. There was a rustle in the grass, and we were surrounded by archers, all female, anywhere from 12 to 19. They were all wearing black uniforms, same as me. Link backed off immediately, and then these dragons swooped down, and carts full of supplies drawn by horses came. The girls got on the dragons and horses and rode off to the mountains. Link shouted at me as a dragon picked me up and flew me away. My heart almost broke over a dream, because - somehow - it was all my fault. I woke up with this idea eating away at my brain.

Dreamt of the Flying Dutchman a few nights ago. In the dream I was looking out my kitchen window; in the distance I could see towering skyscrapers and floating/sailing between the buildings was the Flying Dutchman. :sheep:

Last night, I dreamed I was in a small rural town, a very sunny mid-morning, walking down a gravel road when I came across a police car and a backhoe excavating a site. I asked the police officer on site who happened to be an old Andy Griffith - not as old as when he died, but Matlock aged - what was going on. He said they had gotten an anonymous tip that a serial killer had drowned a local woman known around town as "Fluffy" in a nearby swamp, and buried her at that site. As I was speaking to Sherriff Andy, the backhoe had dug up a small, blackened, dessicated corpse. I stared at it in disbelief, because I had a memory of "Fluffy" as being a morbidly obese blonde lady. I went home feeling rather shaken at what I'd seen and also really worried that there was a serial killer on the loose. Then I woke up.

When I was 5 I dreamed that my car broke down in the middle of nowhere so my mum, dad, brother and I all got out and went to this two story farm house- Australian style. Anyway, when we got there a man opened the door and I noticed, in the background was a human head on the wall. I tried to warn my family but they couldn't see it. We stayed there for a day before it all went wrong. I found my dad being murdered when he went back to check on the car with the middle-aged man. He drowned my mum when she had her bath by filling the tub with cement and turning her into a statue he put on his veranda. He kept my little brother to raise as his own and tried to kill me but I ran away and managed to find a police car coming down the road.
I still remember that dream and it still scares me.

Last night dreamed I was eating pancakes. I ate them with milk and when I was done I washed the dishes.
