Topic title says it all, but I might need to elaborate anyway. I was wondering if I can choose the pose my Sims make when they get their official Family Portrait taken (the one that shows when you first click a house or look at families in the family bin). And the second one is just for the Thumbnail that is shown on the Neighborhood selection screen.

Don't think you can change the family screen pose, but you CAN change the neighbourhood one. Take a picture, trim it down to about 300x400 pixels. Name it NXXX_Neighbourhood, where XXX is the number of your 'hood, and save it as a PNG in your My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighbourhoods/NXXX folder. When you next run the game, you should see your picture in the neighbourhood selection.

instead of a portrait, can we replace the preview pic with a preview clip of the rotating camera, like with the premade N'Hoods?

I don't know if anybody has been able to get that kind of file functioning properly. I know that as of a couple of years ago it was still considered impossible, and most of the people who would have considered working on it seem to have moved to Sims 3.

Thanks, that was helpful. I can just live with the dumb poses the faimlies make. Either that or just remake them since it doesn't take all that long. luuuuuul
