The question is Why?
I didn't touch any system files, either from Microsoft or EA.
The modifications I made in the game root were:
1 - installed CEP 9.0
2- Eliminated start video, as everybody;
3 - Replaced hoods by blank hoods;
4- Numenor's scriptorium never worked for me, so I included stairs scripts, etc, directly in the corresponding files in the right folders;
I can't remember right now anything else;

All game modifications are in the Downloads folder and are the most innocent modifications ever, most of them were even online, some still are.
I have in the total 1,39GB custom contents and this include everything from recolors to mods.
I placed one computer at Microsoft disposition and it contains everything I made.

I only play the game differently from other players because I have no fun at all with things that others like. My brain doesn't work like yours but I'm not harming anyone.
I got an old game to play the same way I did when I was a child and had only mud as construction material. It is an electronic version of a child dream. This was what attracted me to the game and if I cannot have it, I have no reason to Have a computer!

I'm leaving exactly now for a compromise and if someone please can at least enlight me or lead me to where I can get further help. Thanks.

Edit: Got help from technical support that assembled my computer.

The Sims 2 IS NOT COMPATIBLE with Windows 7, no matter version. :faceslap:

I have Sims 2 installed on my Windows 7 computer, and it works fine. So that's not your problem.

Can you post a screenshot of the error log, and also tell me where you have the games installed to (for example, C:\ Program Files\ EA Games).

Hi, thanks. I got the girls to call the tech for me and we were informed that Sims2 is not compatible and have to be played in compatibility mode with XP.
All the computers have TS2 installed in the drive C: but in the 64bits it was automatically installed in a separated folder named x86.
I'm going to see if I still have the error log. Coming back soon!

I have been reading some of the links posted in other threads and came to the conclusion that there's indeed something that's wrong in my game.
I use the original game hoods for testing mods and hacks and I KNOW that all of them are in a way messed up from release. I didn't remove them from the game exactly because I use them for tests and when I am not sure if a mod is going to screw up the game, of course they are my first choice.
I'm ready with all my testing and had inclusive played now and then in Debug mode to correct eventual remaining problems. It is everything all right BUT the test hoods are still in my game and I enter them sometimes if I download something I'm not sure about.
There are hundreds of objects, mods and hacks online that are awesome but contain not errors, but either they are far too addictive and need a little bit more balance, or they are meant for things I don't use at all (like creatures, plantsims, vampires, zombies, wolves, etc). As I eliminated All the NPCs from my game, I have to readjust every item I download, So I use the hoods that were supplied originally.

I have to stop thinking the same way I did when we were a group working together. I have no more reasons to keep test hoods because I'm completely satisfied with my game. All the things I'm downloading now are simple recolors for game objects (I lost my best colorist and I'm elendig to recolor); tiny hoods (I have SC4 but don't have a clue how to use it and I don't like it anyway); exclusive special mods (like the one to watch TV in 45 degrees); game tools and special plug-ins to improve programs (I have a special admiration for Programmers). These are things that are above my skills and are not high risky.
I'm extremely careful and I don't put in my game anything that I do not understand. I can catch conflicts and I know how to solve them; I'm able to adapt a totally conflictive mod or hack to work together with mine without problems; I can update whatever object or mod self; I can also include new features or remove the ones I don't like without disturbing the creators (most of them don't answer or get offended if you mention something about their work).
In a way I became almost self-standing in many fields, but I still keep my registration at least at MTS2. Some people use to leave me a message here when they have questions and I will sure visit the site so long it is available.
I read most of the FAQs that were linked from different posts (I have difficulties to find things self) and I indeed came to this problem that I'm sure causing self: I have old messed up test hoods in All my computers. I didn't realize it self - If I enter a hood that have problems it can crash or freeze my game. :lol:
This is one of the hazards of being a Cuckoockoo Kikilikokos, I can solve extreme difficult problems but fall on my nose on things that everybody can easily see.

I need to read the posts from other players because most of them contain links that are precious for me and I have a very big mouth that cannot keep shut. :D
So anything I say have no intention at all to offend someone. I really have difficulties exactly with things that are considered so easy that they sound ridiculous. I'm sincerely sorry!
Thanks.
