Hi all. So I got generations and pets just recently and have just started to really get into playing a family. My first baby just grew into a toddler and I want to read them to sleep. My toddler has the sleepy moodlet, mama sim has a children's book in her inventory, I have the option to read to sleep when I click on the toddler, but when I do, nothing happens!
I quit the game, removed the few mods I had installed, restarted my computer, and booted the game back up, but still have the same problem.
Is this a glitch, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!

I have the same problem, although it used to work fine before my hard drive died last month, had to replace it, and reinstall everything. It doesn't bother me enough to see if it's down to any mods or CC I've got, so I can't help you with a solution, just letting you know you're not the only one with this issue.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. It doesn't really bother me considering I've never used it before, but it's still a little disappointing. I mean Generations is supposed to be about being able to have more age intensive interactions, right? Attack with the claw is great and everything, but I was looking forward to reading to the kids.

hm, i was going to say sometimes it can be a routing issue (sim cant get to the bookcase and drops the command), but then i remembered that yes, it also happens when the book is in the inventory. modders and more experienced simmers might be able to figure what the problem is. or not. its EA after all...

Happens to me fairly often as well. It's never successful when I click a "sleepy" moodlet on a child and they try to ask to be read to sleep. If they manage to actually ask the adult for a story, I am given a list of books to read but none work when selected. I have no idea what the cause would be, I just assumed it was the faulty game and gave it little more thought.
