So as some of you remember im trying to create custom wall art in S3PE, and I found out how to change the image and make it appear in game, except now i have a new problem. Three of the preset images (even though they are replaced and show the replacement in S3PE) reappear when the image is placed. In CAP, my image appears, and when im holding the image right after purchase, but when i place it down, it reverts back to the image i replaced. My other problem is, my all of my art (except one piece) doesnt appear in the thumbnails.
Here are some screen shot examples:

You probably need to clear you caches. See here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_3_Delete_Cache_Files

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i410/Traceyhunt04/Screenshot-9-1-1.jpgThere is a very easy way to do what you're trying to do. :) I wrote a tutorial on how to change EA painting images and posted it here:
http://dino.drealm.info/den/denforum/index.php?topic=681.0
Try doing your project that way...the new tool explained in that tutorial was designed for the exact kind of work you're doing and will make this a lot easier.
The thumbnails issue can occur if you put the item into the game after having only changed the first image. The other images will be cached and often clearing the caches will not fix those thumbnails. If this is what has happened you may need to fix the painting using s3oc.

Im trying to change the paintings in a mesh made by Qbuilderz, because thats one AMAZING mesh right there. (i do not plan on claiming the mesh as my own, or even redistributing w/o permission) :king:

Simply clearing caches is most likely not gonna fix your thumbnail problems. You will prolly have to fix the object with s3oc.

Can you not clear thumbnails by deleting ObjectThumbnails.package in Docs/The Sims3/Thumbnails? I know it works for CAS items, I'd expect it to also work for objects, though you might want to move it instead of straight deleting the first time. I would also expect it to seriously slow down your buy catalogue the first few times you use it after deleting that file.

Yes, it will generate new thumbnails. :)
S3OC is not scary. Just don't click buttons at random and you'll be fine. What om is suggesting takes a grand total of three clicks - I've done it five times in the past two days. ;) Try deleting the thumbnails file first, though.

Ack! Clearing DCBackup? :/ Well, so long as you're aware that that means that if you ever decide to upload a lot, any sims3pack CC you use won't be included.

@orangemittens, im kinda scared of s3oc, any advice on it?s3oc is a pretty straightforward tool to use and it's easy to learn. :) I wrote a short tutorial on how to use it in conjunction with s3pe and Milkshape and posted it at Simlogical:

Yes - it goes for any lot you package. When you package a lot with sims3pack CC in it, the game can't include an entire DCCache file - it has to have all the CC items as individual package files, so it can drop them into the lot sims3pack. That's what DCBackup is. :)
