Create a Family help

I need major help: :alarm:

So a couple weeks ago, i noticed that in Create a Family in the Sims 2 that i couldnt choose a premade sim or change the head, then i noticed i couldnt modify any of the facial features. I really need some help, I dont know what went wrong and i really want to make some familys and i am very particular about the people i maje so please help me.
