My autorun on Sims2Nightlife was running like crazy despite me NOT wanting to play at this time. I stopped it, but it would run again; it did this like 15 times, insisting to run Sims 2 while I didn't want it.
Here's a way to stop your cd drive from running anything automatically:
Go to start>run>Type gpedit.msc
Under Group Policy Editor, go to
Computer Configuration> Administrative Templates> System
Under System, look for Turn off Autoplay.
Open it, set the value to Enabled.
Apply & OK.
After you did this, nothing will run automatically from your CD or DVD drive. If you want to play music, movies, or anything, you will have to run your program by clicking on its icon.
