New showtime patch, Freezes CAS?

The game ran fine with the new patch, or so it seems until I took sim to CAS...in there I made changes to sim and then clicked on the checkmark (accept) button from there it should go back into game mode but the button doesn't do anything. I cannot exit CAS!
I have some skin mods and such, not many mods...still I don't know what that would have to do with not being able to exit CAS. Oddly none of the buttons in CAS work at that point, except for the shop button. I have to turn my PC off while in CAS to get out of it. btw/ was I supposed to take out my MOD folder before updating my game? Someone mentioned that If so, I did not know that. If you go to the site main page there is a help section with subdirectories and one on patching. As an accepted general rule your mod folder needs to come out as well as backing up your save files saved sims and anything you have added that was not part of the EA set-up. Although from what I've reserach on the WEB so far is that the 1.31 patch is causing problems mainly with skins! Try the help pages as they offer valuable information when things do go wrong. They have helped me in the past to solve most patching related problems and doubts. If that does not help, I am sure that one of the moderators will answer soon.
