SimPe question - I have no idea what forum this should be in

I have a general question about SimPe - it's not a complaint, or an error, or anything broken. For The Sims 2, I want to create a wicker chaise lounge using the inexpensive plasticy chaise on wheels . But I don't want it to look plasticy - I want a low-sheen, matte finish - it's wicker. Is there somewhere in SimPe where the reflectivity can be altered? And if this is the wrong forum, please let me know where the right one is. Thanks!
