View Full Version : Did this patch add new color ramps to skintone?

My non defaults and default skins just stopped working all of sudden. So I took my mods folder out, used CC cleaner and Revo pro and completely uninstalled the game. I then installed it, patched each EP and went into the game. The game still has the pink ramp, beige ramp and blue ramp. But the green ramp is gone and they've added a orange ramp, and a multicolored ramp (seriously) and aqua ramp. This is seriously weird. Am I the only one who got this in the patch?

That isn't normal. My skins all work fine and there are no new color ramps. Did you install your patch with your mods folder still installed? Or maybe you have some conflicting mods?

EDIT: Oh, just reread your post and saw you installed with no mods. I don't know what the problem is then :/

The leak patch includes new skintones. The old ones are still there, you can scroll down over the palettes with your mouse. I was thrown too.

Ah, that probably explains why I don't have new skintones. I installed the 3.2 patch only 5 minutes ago :)

Hey Kiwi thanks for responding, did you get a new slider in the jaw area called werewolf also? And my magic items can do all sorts of really awesome things now. How do you post a picture? Cause I can show you guys. Anyway, custom default skins don't work anymore with the new patch either. Non defaults still do, but they look kind of funny now. What the heck is going on lol...Is this content for the next EP?

There are four new werewolf sliders, one for the jaw, nose, browline, and ears respectively. I don't own any of the magic items, so can't test that.

Simsdestroyer, it's leaked content from the next EP. All the stuff is labeled "EP7".

Yeah but it's actually changing gameplay, so it's not leaked anymore, I have it in my game right now. And it's broken custom default skins.....Do you think they will issue a patch to fix it? It 's kind of stupid to have all this "leaked" stuff in my game that has in game interactions without the proper sims to do them with.

What changes does it make to the Store magic objects, Simsdestroyer?

I'm wondering if someone got fired over this. I mean, there was a LOT of information that was just found out about the next EP. Have they already issued a new patch that removes it? Some said they just patched and didn't get the EP7 sliders.

I think they took down the leak patch and replaced it with a "real" patch.

New special effects for Cauldron, and voodoo doll. How do you post a pic, I could show you guys... But it's not clear, it's kind of like static...like bad reception.

Upload it to somewhere like photobucket.com, get the link from there, and put it between image tags [ img ] and [/ img ]. Without the spaces.

Ok, I need your help modder guys and gals.

Some of you loaded the super patch that have this extra code. I've loaded the patch via patch downloader (yesterday) and I don't have it. Someone in my bug thread said they patched through the launcher and they have it, so now some people have the stuff, others don't.

1. Isn't that a problem for mods, especially CAS ones ? If there are two versions, won't mess up peoples games if the have the wrong one ?
2. Is the code that came with this patch complete to not mess up the entire game ? I know it's fun to see all that stuff but isn't it potentially harmful with unfinished code in there ?
3. Should I recommend to everyone that has the extra code to reinstall their games or would this not be necessary ?

What do you think, I just don't know about the game code to be able to give the right advice.

I downloaded the patch, but had not applied, waiting for Mods to be updated an what not. I still have it, since I do manual Patching

Might be worth hanging onto it, even if you don't use it. I'm sure someone will eventually be annoyed that they didn't get this stuff in their patch, or will want to take another look at the code or w/e.

To answer my own question, I just had an answer from SimGuruRusskii over at the official forum

I am told that there's no need to reinstall. We are hard at work on an update at this time.

So I think, reinstalling is only necessary in two cases:

1. You do not want the stuff in your game
2. You plan on using custom skins (they seem messed up).

We don't know how long it will be to another patch. So everyone make their own decision.
