Okay, so there are so very many awesome worlds out there. Is there a mod / can one be created - that will allow you to scroll through your "worlds installed" on the "start a new game" menu? .. Because after about 25+, the end of the alphabet simply falls off the page and you can no longer access it. Which leaves you with two choices. Uninstall some really cool worlds and never play them... or only install when you're going to play it, then lose the save file when you uninstall the world to play something else. :( Since not every world is suitable for every challenge or playstyle/game/story ... it limits things. I know of several other people who agree with me on this one.. I haven't found any solution to it.. and the sims3 forum was completely mum on the idea, so my thought is that it's going to have to be made as a mod.. if it's possible (and I TRULY hope it is!!)

My solution would be to have interchangeable Sims 3 folders. That way you can also customise the CC you have installed for certain worlds.

For example, at the moment I have an install for playing Lunar Lakes which contains a lot of store items, and I also have a vanilla setup for testing worlds. Then I have a heavily modded setup for use with the custom worlds I am playing.

That way you can play all worlds and have as many save games as you want. I would think that it would be rare to want to play more than 20 worlds in one session, so just swap i the folder for the worlds you want to play when you begin.

That's what I do, though I don't customise the CC I have for different worlds. I just wanted to be able to play more than 25 worlds (at different times, obviously). There are so many nice custom worlds out there, and if you have all the EA worlds as well (I have them all except for the Showtime one) they take up quite a lot of the list of 25.....

I have mine set up with a load of standard worlds, that I use for general game play, and then also a set of challenge specific worlds - like empty ones for the Nothing Is Free challenge and the tiny one for the Isle of the Midnight Sun challenge. It works so far. It's mildly annoying at times, but meh, at least now I can download and play as many custom worlds as I want! :-)
