Inheriting business problem?

So Malcolm Landgraab IV finally died in my game. Before his death he invited his son over so I can give him the family business but it wouldn't let me do it since Malcolm wasn't living in the home but the option would come up with his daughter who was living at home.

I'd just figure when he'd pass it'll go straight to Malcolm or Myra but it didn't. In the neighborhood screen it still says Malcolm IV still owns it but obviously he's dead now so how in the world do I get the deed so Malcolm V can get it? I'm assuming my 'no inheritance' hack might have messed this up just didn't think it would effect businesses too.

Do I have to resurrect him :/ The option to buy the lot doesn't come up obviously because it says Malcolm IV still owns it so I'm S.O.L ! lol

you are right about the hack
it also means if the children move out of that lot the money stays in the account of Malcolm IV and for you it is gone then.
it is the one reason for me not to get this hack

if ressurection makes it possible for the old man to give his business away you have to find out by trail I think.
but obviously if you want him to die again you need to turn that hack off to test this.

Well I just made him write several checks to malcolm before his death since they are the only family in my neighborhood that I allow to have lots of money :)

Alright Im off to try this so wish me luck!


Edit: It worked, I brought him back to life and gave the deed to his son then had to kill him again lol. Poor Malcolm V, he had to go through his dad's death twice :lol: Must be traumatizing! ;)
