View Full Version : Has there been a fix yet for the grass/road bug that I missed?

It's been a while since I did some town editing, but started again and encountered the old grass/road bug again (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aokcMEd2nY for an example I found on youtube). I know no patch has fixed it yet since I am playing with the latest version of the game with all ep's and sp's installed, but has some modder found a fix for it yet or is it something I most likely will have to live with for the duration of the game (lost hope of EA fixing it by now)? Or is it a bug related to the older worlds since I went back to Sunset Valley?

Thanks.

Everything I've ever seen about that issue is related to CAW so I don't think there is a fix for it from within the game.

If so I'd like to know also. I have a few sections in SV that do this and it makes me crazy.

Not the answer I was hoping for, but it does make sense since it only seems to happen in Sunset Valley and Riverview for me, both worlds created before we could add lots ourselves. Too bad though since I still like Sunset Valley the most, from the EA created worlds that is.

That's probably caused by adding/ removing lots from within the World Editor in-game. There's no way to fix it that I know of, as information for work done in world edit mode is stored in the savegame.

The only sure solution is never to use the world editor, and add lots in CAW instead.

Hmm, maybe a good idea to start figuring out how the CAW works then since my current save now has 4 huge spots that almost cover the entire street. Never even downloaded CAW I think, maybe time to do it now, not that it can fix my beloved town though. Ah well, thanks for the info since I now can at least put it behind me and move on. :)
