Wrong file type on downloads

Hi...so all my sims2 downloaded stuff all say that it's a sims 3 file type. i was messing with a sims 3 folder and i had right clicked on a file and picked open with Sims3Laucher,but it somehow made all the files say sims 3 and i don't know how to get it back to how it was.

If you need to be able to open your package files with SimPE, you can right-click on the file, choose "Open with" and find SimPE on your computer (if you have it, of course), and make sure the "always open this type of file" tickbox at the bottom is checked. If you don't need to actually open the package files, then it doesn't matter that your computer sees them as sims 3 files - Sims 2 will still load the package files just fine no matter what your computer thinks they are.
