ALRIGHTY. I have this gut feeling my Sims may have...Some creepy looking Sims. It has happened, and I had nightmares. So, yes, I am like evil...So anyway. My question is this:

When in game is there a way to change a kid's facial features or better terms, change their face? Or am I stuck with...Well creepy looking children?

O.O I am not trying to be me like mean here, really. But yeah, I would just like to know if it is possible.

The Sim Blender has a plastic surgery option. I've never used it on children, though, so I don't know if it would work on them. I usually wait until adulthood since sometimes an ugly face on a kid can make a good looking adult. You have to use Sim PE to make the changes genetic, though.

Thank you. Thank you. I don't mind the "genetic" genes, I guess. I mean I can always change them as I go. Because sadly...I do not know if I can stand a creepier for a baby...That may scare me. I had my one Sim get married to a Vampire...And well. Yeah that baby was...Well..Scary looking..I was like

Eesh!

>.> Thank you, Vladora ^.^

Also, the Show Biz career reward is a plastic surgery machine that will alter the shape of a sim's face. I used it a couple times, with one of those times being a simple eye adjustment (she was a pretty alien, except for gigantic eyeballs. Sure, it looks good with black eyes, but give a bug-eyed person normal eyes and you'll freak out)

Doesn't work for children, but with a mod it can work with teens.

The career-reward surgery machine also sometimes fails, producing a sim with badly-distorted features that can only be undone via quitting-without-saving or using SimPE.

Also, you would be amazed at how quickly you get used to faces that make you gasp in horror the first time you see them. I remember when I was first making my Hawkins family in CAS. Not knowing any better, I made Ma with a round short face and huge features, Pa with a long gaunt face and tiny features, and I went through several iterations before realizing that none of the kids was going to look remotely attractive in any conventional sense. So I changed the face template on the one I felt needed to be pretty (again, not knowing any better; she's actually the least-sexy Hawkins, which is still pretty darn sexy, as far as other sims are concerned) and resolved to keep the next combos that came up for the rest. I kept that resolve even though the face that became Harris Hawkins made me jump - those eyes! Those EYES! But I put glasses on the eyes and accepted him, and now I just love him to death and am anxious to preserve both the eyes and his amazing letteropener chin, which grew in as he grew up. There can be considerable difference between a child's appearance and the adult form, and features that didn't work at all on a toddler may give you the handsomest adult in your hood. Or you can be sufficiently attached that you find him attractive after all.

See, the thing about ugly sims is - you can tell who they are without reference to their hair or clothes. I have never seen a Hawkins come onto a community lot and had to look twice to see who it was. Unlike the Gavigans, who I can tell are Gavigans but can't tell apart from each other unless I take care to dress them differently; or almost any premade, who if I don't find a signature hair and clothing style for can be confused with almost any other premade of similar coloring (in Drama Acres and among townies; they did a pretty good job of making the premade playables distinct from each other in Strangetown).

Insimenator offers the option to change the facial structure for kids by spawning the Insimenator.

OMG lol. I was laughing so hard. The first time my Sim had a kid, the kid was freaky looking. And scared the crap out of me. I jumped, and I literally freaked out. I was like:

"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT!?"

So, I assumed the following:

A) People would have to not look at him on looks alone.

B) He better have a damn good personality.

Mhm. But now that I have this, I am happy. Because my Sim Spencer, is more than likely going to knock up a few women, seeing that I do have the preg for all genders. And she wants to woohoo with 20 Sims. I am an evil person. But sadly, seeing that Spencer has to like initiate the woohooing, she will be the one getting pregnant. hahahahah

ANYWAY, thank you everyone for your ideas, I did put in the Sim Blender, so I'll see how this works. :)

Or use the cosmetic surgeon again and choose the option to pick from the premade/custom faces. The first face in the list is the deformed sims presurgery face.

Oh yes, I have one sim, Katie, when she was a toddler I realised she had received her father's unnaturally large lips (who received them from his dad, Peter Sims), but unlike her dad, as she grew into a teen she has grown into them and now is quite stunning. ^^
The transition from child to teen can really make a big difference to a sim's face.

I had an issue like this once in my game. Priya and Sanjay Ramaswami - I believe you're familiar with them - had a child whose teeth stuck through its thin, thin lips and the poor thing looked hideous when she turned to toddler age. I took her to my hospital, turned her into a teen and did the surgery with that carreer reward and then turned her back into tot with InSim.
Those teeth were just too much for me to handle through the entire toddler and child stages, which combined take about 80 days in my game, not counting all the time I'm playing rotations and other houses.

Yeah, you have to be careful of the face combinations that you combine to make children. I made a family in CAS that had two boys and three girls (quintuplets!), and I started the children at toddler stage. The face combination of the parents created the most horrifying women as the girls grew up. Well, it was bad for the boys too, but on the girls it was dreadful. Their chins were wide, protruding and squared off, their cheeks sunk in and their cheek bones high and prominent; very skull-like (if your excuse the expression, almost like Michael Jackson's face at the time he died). I managed to get the Show Biz reward (plastic surgery machine) and smooth out all of their features after they reached adulthood. Although one of them had to try a few times... if your sim isn't gold or platinum, the resulting surgery can be devastating. The machine caved her face in and then blew it up before I got it to work properly on the third attempt, and then had to choose one of the premade faces that came closest to her original as there was no way I was going to be able to smooth that one out!

Reminds me of when my favorite sim's alien son had his first child.

Her wife went through the typical birthing video, and when the baby's face was revealed...

HALF OF HIS FACE WAS HIS EYES. OR AT LEAST IT SEEMED THAT WAY. SERIOUSLY.

Thats a lot of eyes.

Okay...can I delete custom eye colors even if my sims have those eye colors or will that mess up my game?

Levera -- deleting custom eyes will leave your sims showing only the eyes painted on to their skintone. They'll have broken genetics and will pass them down unless you change their DNA in SimPE.

The reason I asked is because...When Spencer Woohoo's her eyes become like demonic alien eyes, it was sort of freaky. But then again...CC can do that. I think. Because that is the only time they act funky. SO, I'll go with the flow. Besides she has such beautiful blue eyes :giggler:

On my old computer, Loki and Circe Beaker had twin boys, and when they became toddlers, one looked pretty normal and the other was like.. the evil twin. I guess it was because he looked more like Loki, especially his eyes/eyebrows, which look really scary on a toddler. Scariest toddler I ever had. But then that computer died so I'll never know what he would look like when he grew up :P

The secret society building in Sim State university has a plastic surgery machine. Having ugly children in my game is an incentive to get them into university and make friends with three secret society members, so the uglies can straighten themselves out. I think they must be in gold aspiration before using it, to reduce the chances of a mishap. It's better if they steal the machine and take it back to the dorm, so you can save just before using it. If random disaster strikes, you can quit without saving, and start again. They can always return the machine later, so it's available for the next ugly student.

Well, I did get the Sim Blender. And OMG. I had my elders: Kraven and Lillian adopt. And when I saw her, I was like:

"Awwww!'

Then she got closer. And closer.

I covered my eyes, and flailed and whispered::

"OMG what is that?! WHAT IS THAT?!"

So, needless to say, she will get a make over. MUAHAHAHA. But she is WAY younger than her sister, Ursula, don't judge on the names, I dig them.

So yeah...I had nightmares of their daughter...Just...Eesh. o.o

And I heard really bad things about the "Plastic Surgery Machine" needless to say, I am not sure...If disaster will make "Brenda" look pretty. She has like bigger lips than Angelina Jolie, and that is saying something.
