I'm playing a family with four sims, two adult parents, a son (Arthur) and a daughter (Madeline), both teenagers.
There's something wrong in my game though: the two teens ended up in two different schools (I'm playing in a custom neighborhood) and every day there are two schoolbusses for both. If I'm not quick enough, one sims goes to the right school and the other takes the wrong bus, goes to the wrong school, than take a taxi to go back home and take the right bus, which meand that s/he'll be late, and everything that follows.
One day I tried to have both teens go on a date (of course with different sims and in different places), but it didn't work: when Madeline reached her boyfriend, a popup said that Arthur was already having a date, so he couldn't have another one at the same time. I swithced to Arthur and I found that his date ended too, which caused the lame date moodlet, a small drop in the relationship with his girlfriend and such.
Last, it was prom night. Both the teens invited someone. The limo arrived, the dates get on it, but I couldn't have my sims do the same. They had to reach the school with a taxy, but then teir companions comlained that they were ditched.
What's going on? I't not my first time playing TS3 and never experienced this.
I have the Nraas suite installed and I used MasterController and StoryProgression to populate the world and set a couple of things, but I didn't change anything in my active household.
