So my sims are having kids. I thought it was just one family this would happen with because one was white and one was black so maybe the game couldn't decide which skin color to use. The baby had a white head and a dark skinned body. Well I played another family and their baby looked exactly the same. Only with this family both parents have the same skin. It's not two different ones. I've googled, I've searched here, and I can't find anything on this happening. Can someone help me?

Are you using any default skin replacements?

I had a replacement skin installed once that was conflicting with my babies.

No default skin replacements that I know of. The only ones I've installed were Enalya's fairie skins. before this happened.

The game will pick a colour shade from the lightest to the darkest to anywhere in-between, it doesn't get confused just because the parents skin colour is different. Unless one has a skin that isn't made for babies.
Pull your downloads to the desk top and run the game with a test family and I think you will see normal babies as it’s most likely something in your downloads. My thoughts are do you have any kinds of default baby clothes? Baby hair, baby hair skin or baby clothes skins? I had one parent with a baby hair skin which clashed with a baby hair default and I had a pair twins with invisible heads. You may have to remove all recent downloads or do a 50/50 search.

I did get some baby hairs. That must be what's doing it. Thanks!

Some baby hairs only work on Maxis skin so if the babies have a defualt skin that would be why.

that makes sense. I know I have toddler hair, and I think one of the hairs I have on the adults might have that problem. Thanks again. It's good to know why it's happening.
