Okay, I have spent all of last night and most of today trying to find an answer to this on my own because I am pretty sure it is just something I am doing wrong or not seeing.
I am working on my very first world in CAW. I used the small island map and have edited the terrain to accommodate a few mostly flat lots. I created a new layer called Lots and added five lots onto the island. I then went into EIG and smoothed out the terrain on one of my lots adding small hills and a pond. I want the pond to have a small waterfall going into it, but when I try to add the waterfall effects I cannot drag them onto my lot. Same goes for any effects. I can place them all over my island as I see fit, but not on my lots at all. I am sure I am just being dumb, but I have tried everything I can think of. Waterfalls and other effects don't show up in EIG and in CAW I can't edit lots. I am stuck. Can you just not have effects on lots?

Aside from the lists of effect names you'll find around the web, the CreatEve Works blog (http://createveworks.blogspot.com/2011/01/fog-emitter-effects-animations-series.html) is fantastic for showing YouTube demos of various effects.

Another option would be to place the effect and manually put in the x, y and z coordinates. I would do that with the Late Night building shells when testing the lot sizes. But the fog emitters will work as previously mentioned. Just wanted to let you know there were some other ways too.
