Mine: "Steam your face once or twice a week. After a month you will have a clearer face with less pimples and blackheads.
You can apply a facial mask after steaming to have better results. "

Act like you are the most beautiful person in the room (though not in a snobbish way). Confidence is key. Same thing goes for weight. If you think you look fat in a bikini, act as if you have a Bangin' Bikini Bod. Eventually, people WILL start to look at you in a different light. NOTE: While this does work, it is not a miracle maker.
But for a specific tip, if you have puffy eyes from not enough sleep, put some ice water in a bowl, and soak your face in it for a bit.

@The Creeper... This is a nooby question, but what is BBCode?
My tip is to buy green tea. then, you make it. Mix in some vitamin supplements. Now pour it into an ice cube tray and put it in the freezer. When the top layer is frozen, but not the middle, stick a toothpick in each one. In the morning, just pop one out of the tray, and this will sound weird, but rub it on your face. Not only does it feel really good, but it minimizes your pores and well, green tea helps your skin... somehow.
Ooh, here's another one. This one is even weirder. But I've done it myself many times, it's not that gross. You take a raw egg, and you crack it in a bowl, but you separate the yolk and the white. (If you don't know how to do that, look it up, it's quite easy.) Now put the yolk on your face. Leave it on for about 5-10 minutes. It works just like a face mask, and it moisturizes really well. When the time is up, wash it off and put on the egg white. This one will make your face and skin hard to move, you know, like one of those peeling masks? Well leave it on for the same time as the yolk. It will clean your skin and moisturize your pores. I often do this the night before an important day, because in the morning, my face absolutely GLOWS.

- Wash your makeup brushes every couple months or so. Swirl them around in a bowl of lukewarm water & a bit of mild shampoo gently, then rinse them until all the makeup and shampoo is gone. I've heard a bit of baking soda will help dissolve stubborn makeup, though I haven't tried this. Lay them flat on a towel (don't let them try standing up). Do this at night so you can use them in the morning. This also works for sponge and puff applicators.
- Using conditioner instead of shaving cream works just as well.
- While we're on the subject of minimizing pores, those pore strips you can buy are expensive, but an at-home version you can make for about $1 is here (http://petitelefant.com/how-to-pore-strips/).

Well I basically have three beauty tips:
-For your face:
I love how my face feels after a scrub (like totally rejuvenated, new, sparkling baby face!) but I don't think that all the chemicals they put in scrubs are good for your face... I always use honey and brown sugar, it works amazingly. Honey both moisturizes AND cleanse your pores (I guess the bees poop some kind of antiseptic sh*t in it, I don't even know). Obviously it's still a bit abrasive (rubbing sugar on your face, hello!) so I do it once a week but it works beautifully.
-For your hair:
I have curly blonde hair. Anyone who has curly, non-african hair (african curls are the best because they're really thick and strong and always stay up) knows how much weather influences the consistency and the shine of the curls so I developed a new technique: I always use Herbal Essence hair conditioners because they have like the best smell ever, they have like 3 different silicones in it but whatever. One day I ran out of hair conditioner while showering, and after a little freak-out I put only the only other conditioning/moisturizing thing I had in my room, a body lotion. Nivea, I think. AND IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY. I mean the moisture was totally absorbed by the hair without leaving it greasy, my hair was extremely shiny and my curls were perfect, and touching them you could feel they were like springs, I mean you could pull them down over and over and they would just stay the same. Since then I also used body butters on my hair, before the conditioner or instead of using the conditioner and they work amazing. I guess body moisturizers are stronger than those nasty ass (yet great-smelling) hair moisturizers.
-For acne, skin imperfections:
Brewer's yeast! Jesus, what kind of god, mystical beautiful creature ever created this miracle in pills needs to become president at least! It's sold in jars full of round pills (100% natural, it's pressed yeast like the one they put in bread), you eat between 6 and 10 a day and after 1-2 weeks 90% of your skin imperfection (pimples, zits, random sh*t) go away. It seriously is a miracle. Flawless. Nothing more to say. It also fixes up your intestine so... It helps you to get skinnier. Honestly I have no words to describe it, it's a gift from heaven.
Hope I helped someone.

I would say eat lots of vegetables, drink lots of water, and get aerobic exercise in the fresh air. Those things help support your health in all kinds of ways and the result is a clear and rosy complextion and a healthy immune system.

Ooooh, shit, efolger997, I'm going to try that gelatin pore strip immediately.
also, about the brushes, I find the easiest thing to do is to just rinse the brushes till the water runs clear and then swish them around in alcohol every day.
My "tips" aren't really that groundbreaking or anything, but ever since I switched to cream-and-brush instead of pencil for eyebrows, they look so much better and it's easier to apply. Then I just put "eyebrow gel" on top. Light hairgel or something would probably work too. I just like my eyebrows to look neat and "painted" towards the ends, but I don't want them to look fake. Mine are naturally white-blone and unruly as all hell, so they need some reining in. haha.

helpful tips guys!
I got another one: if you don't need much covering, use a BBcream. This is good for your skin and covers imperfections pretty good. I also use a compact powder that is antibacterial. I've got number two (http://www.essence.eu/ie/products/pure-skin/cover/compact-powder.html) and it works very good, it fights spots and calmes your skin. I don't know if you can buy this product in every country. In Holland you can get it at many drugstores and it's affordable.
If all this doesn't cover enough, you can also use a coverstick. If you have a greasy skin, just don't use too much foundation and especially not oily foundations.
If you have an acne skin, going to a doctor is the best thing you can do because he can help you with your problems. I have done this and my skin is all clear now :)

Do you think it would work for a boy as well? I am 19 years old and even though I have pretty good skin I always wanted that flawless face models (both male and female) have on magazines. I went to the MAC store and asked the woman if she could show me what a very light mat makeup would look like on my face. When she asked me if I wanted some mascara too I understood she went a bit too far with blush and crap. -_-
Anyways.
Do you think that the right shade would look natural on a boy's face? Is it light or heavy?

Yes, definitely! But the shade has to be perfect. The cream mustn't be too thick! If it's too thick, you can see very good that you used something to cover up. There are many types of bb cream, and the most natural one I know is the one from L'Oreal Paris. It is pricey, though. In some shops they sell make up for boys, I don't know any but maybe you can look up. If you choose the right shade and don't use a too thick cream you will absolutely have a flawless skin, and it will still look natural.
But don't use a powder!

I completely agree with this. Tell yourself you look great. I used to be very self-conscious about how I looked and picked fault in everything, even when in reality there was nothing wrong, and I generally used to dress in very non-descript, boring clothes to avoid drawing too much attention to myself. But over the past few years my best friend and I have started telling each other (in private, doesn't sound so good in public!) that we're great etc. regularly, even though we don't always believe it, and now my confidence is so much better, plus now I wear the clothes that I like and want to wear even if others might think they're kind of kooky or quirky. I never used to get compliments of any kind when I believed I looked terrible, which probably didn't help the situation, but now I regularly get compliments because I'm not trying to disappear completely.

Honestly I cannot go without my Mineral Powder, it works great on both men and women, it hides blemishes and adds an even tone without looking like you've plastered your face with foundation, blush and whatever other things that can be layered on to cover those horror spots. Plus it allows the skin to breathe easier (less zits) and it feels like your not wearing make-up at all! Very light and airy. It's even easier to remove and you use less of it.
I have horribly blemished skin, blackheads and huge red patches (that appear out of nowhere) along the sides of my jaw bone (both sides of the face). I do have rosy cheeks though (so no need for blush). I use a nice mineral make up that covers up the blemishes and doesn't leave me looking patchy, all over the face, including cheeks and eyelids. After applying I'll put on eyeshadow if I feel like a colour, and gently rub my cheeks to reveal a bit of the natural rosy cheeks add a bit of lippy et viola I look like a decent person. It doesn't make you look like a supermodel, but it just gives an even colour all over and it looks natural.
If you shave (this is for the girls, unless you're a guy and shave (I know a few of who do)) use cold water and a gentle soap or moisturiser when shaving. The cold water keeps the pores closed so that any harsh soap can't get in and cause itching/allergic reaction pains. I use a gentle soap or moisturiser when shaving to make the surface easier to slide the razor blade along. Once you've shaved a spot use a facewasher to clean the excess soap off (which also helps to prevent itching/pain). Once you have finished shaving rinse off your legs, dry them and apply a moisturiser. I have horrible skin and constantly get ingrown hairs, but using this method helps to stop that from happening.
Eyebrows! Oh what horrible eyebrows I have! Once I have showered/washed my face I use a towel and gently brush my brows to get the hairs to sit nicely. When plucking apply moisturiser to your brows and allow the mosituriser to soak in before plucking. Makes it a little less painful and easier to pluck. Also your skin won't be as red after plucking.
Cracked heels.. Unless you wear enclosed shoes and moisturise then you too will have this uphill battle. Personally I use a mixture of techniques to keep the cracked heels at bay this is the one I use if I've been lazy and haven't used the pumice stone in the shower each time I shower (usually it takes a few weeks to reach the stage in which I use this one, otherwise I try to use a pumice stone at the end of every shower to work off the daily layer). Do this before going to bed or at the end of the day when you have nothing left to do but be at home.
Step 1, get yourself a pumice stone, a good moisturiser, a fresh pair of socks and a hot bowl of water (big enough to soak your feet in and not too hot that you burn yourself)
Step 2, soak your feet for about 10 mins in hot water,
Step 3, once soaked, scrub the cracked areas with the pumice stone and rinse the pumice stone of the dead skin at regular intervals until such time as you have removed the majority of the dead skin or made the cracked areas less noticeable,
Step 4, dry off your feet,
Step 5, use the moisturiser on each foot one at a time and place the foot into the sock, this will feel quiet squishy and weird and will feel even weirder to walk on.
Step 6, you can leave the socks on overnight and wash your feet in the morning or wait a few hours and rinse them off. Up to you.
:) It makes my feet feel better.
Fingernails! Oh to be blessed with good strong pretty nails (the only thing I think I have going for me to be honest). If you have weak nails though or want to grow your nails out and are a biter then I have a few tips. I was once a notorious nail biter to the point where my nails would bleed and get infected! But not anymore. I'm a greedy little buggar and my mother found the best solution, a competition between my brother and me where whoever didn't bite their nails for the week would get a treat! It took about a year of said treats but now we both don't chew unless the nail annoys us! I realise that has nothing to do about beauty but I owe mum big time, otherwise my nails would be well *shudders to think about it* disgusting. You can try nail polish that tastes awful, but I find that if you have a goal with a special something at the end of it you will be more likely to quit biting and stop the habit.
If you want strong nails, I suggest keeping up with your daily calcium needs and constant attention to trimming, and tending the nails. Not much can make them stronger but you can minimise the pain from broken nails while keeping them looking nice and neat. There are also some nail strengtheners out there that will work, but it's a try it and see methodology for those as each person gets different results.
As for long nails, only grow them out if you can. No point in trying to have a long nail if you have weak nails or a job where they will easily break/tear/rip off. The best alternative for long nails is fakes, but be careful where you get them done, I've heard a few horror stories and have one of my own. Needless to say I grow mine and paint them myself these days.
hmmm... what else have I not thought of? Oh well, I do hope everyone enjoys my tips.. if I think of more I will post again.

Oh and a tip for people with hair that's been stripped of moisture, buy the cheapest brand of conditioner (they have the highest moisture content) and use that when you next wash your hair. Leave the conditioner in for at least 5 minutes and rinse. It will take a few washes depending upon how badly your hair has been stripped of moisture, but it will give you soft hair after awhile. :) always works for my horrible mess of hair.

Get enough rest, get enough fun, eat well, keep yourself clean. It's amazing how physical beauty can be offset simply by looking like a zombie because you haven't slept, or having a permanent scowl because you're never doing anything fun. Be confident. Even if you have to fake it. There are times when I had no confidence, but after a bit of faking it, I began to even actually legit confidence.
You're beautiful without make-up, so don't obsess about needing to wear it all the time.
Don't be afraid to spoil yourself with a nice hour or two long pampering every so often where all you do is soak in a bathtub with lovely smelling soap.
Take the extra time to make sure your clothing matches, that you feel comfortable in your outfit and all that.
Wash your face. I don't know if I'm just lucky, but if I wash my face with my normal body soap on a regular basis, I rarely get acne.

Find your color season and learn to use the colors that look the best on you. A simple shirt in the right color can make you look radiant, confident and full of life, while even the most expensive dress and perfect makeup can make you look horrible if it's the wrong color. Don't wear something just because your friend looks great in those clothes. Embrace who you are (which is quite a good advice for more than just clothes and makeup).
And a small extra tip: when buying a lipstick, smile and check in the mirror how the lipstick fits the color of your gums. If your gums look pale compared to the lipstick, it'll make you look like a painted corpse. If the lipstick is too pale, then your gums will appear red and infected. Also, if you're a warm type, don't buy a lipstick in a cold tone, and vice versa, otherwise it would give your teeth a yellowed appearance which is something you probably don't wish to achieve when applying makeup.

My beauty tip for anyone who colors their hair and wants to naturally take some (not all) of the color out:
Take 10-20 Vitamin C tablets and crush them into a fine powder (I used a rolling pin) and mix that into the shampoo of your choice (dandruff shampoo works best) and put that into your hair and cover with bag or shower cap from 30-45 minutes, rinse out and conditon hair like you normally would.
I dyed my hair black and wanted to go back to my natural hair color of a darkish auburn brown and it took most of the hair color out of my hair, If I would have left it on longer it may have worked better.

Go two days out of the week without make-up - it can even be the weekends. Run a few errands, maybe even go out to eat. It does wonders for your self-esteem, being able to spruce yourself up without the use of cosmetics, knowing you still look good without them. I did this when I was a bit more "make-up obsessed", now, I only use it at formal events.
Exercise constantly! There are tons of little things you can do to always exercise, if you think about it. Sitting at a desk? Lift your legs multiple times at a slanted position (you'll know you've got it right when it starts to burn) for 30 - 60 second intervals. Put your favorite cereal at the top of the pantry, that way you have to reach a bit more to get to it. Park your car at the back of the parking lot (unless it's at night, of course - be safe), so you can walk a bit more. Have 30 minutes - 2 hours to spare? Hit your local track, or, walk about your neighborhood/do some lawn work.
------
This is a bit more ethnic specific (and completely not for you if you just payed to get a relaxer - because you will be royally pissed and out of like $40 or something): Water! Duh. But, no:
Water
VO5 Moisture Milks Conditioner (Peach!)
EVOO
Castor Oil (Preferably Black, but, clear is fine as well)
Put it all in a spray bottle and get to spritzing your hair. I do this every morning; it cleanses my hair 'till I'm ready to go at it for a complete washing session and adds moisture. Sometimes I omit the CO until after I'm done with everything and use it to seal in the water, but, that depends on your hair type.

Don't believe the advertising about skin products. All moisturisers and lotions are basically the same, lotions just have more water content. Find a cleanser and moituriser that suits your skin type and doesn't cause any reactions (skin always sends you a message if your using something it doesn't like) and stick to it.

Well, that's not entirely true. Some are really greasy or sticky and just sit on top of your skin. You can't go wrong with Nivea or something like that. I just use the generic Target brand and it works great. But I've got this Bath and Body Works lotion that was probably 2-3 times the price at a third of the size, and no matter what I do it leaves a layer of sparkly grease on my skin. I'll put it on my feet while I'm sitting at the computer, forget about it, and two hours later go skating across the floor. (and my skin is still just as dry as it was before I put that shit on!)
But you're right, most lotions have the same 4-5 ingredients.
