Okay so I've probably missed something on here but when I go to update my Sims 3 game (with mods etc. installed) it has a hissy fit and says "This Sims 3 game has been modified! Please reinstall" or something along the lines of that. This is the first time I've tried to update since installing mods. I installed a dress style and use the configuration thingy that allows stuff like no adults in a household, no curfew, no household limit etc. I can't remember what it's called-awesomemod or something like that, maybe? Well, anyway, I've seen things about patches around here, is that what I need to download and use? Or will I have to re-install everything? -.-
Thanks!

You shouldn't have to reinstall. Ideally it didn't change anything once it found Awesome Mod in there and quit. The solution is to take out the mods, and then run the patch. Then be very sure that you update them all. Awesome Mod is a core mod, meaning (among other things) that it won't work if you aren't running the exact patch level that it was written for. It will, in fact, cause trouble if you try.
See the FAQ on patching for more information. http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Patching
