View Full Version : Game loads very slow since patching

I went through the Crash checklist(and just about everything else) but my game is more lagging than crashing. I have no CC installed and everything is patched correctly. I have tried re-installing the game and without the patch, things run smoothly, even on high settings. However once the patch was installed, everything went downhill. Loading a neighborhood takes forever and CAS is noticeably longer to load.

I've been told based on my specs. that my graphics card is currently unsupported to play, yet it worked completely fine for a number of years with multiple expansion packs and even CC. So i'm thinking it has something to do with the patch since I started having problems after updating. I feel like I've tried everything. I really don't want to buy a new graphics card when there was proof that it had been working at one time.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Here are my specs. by the way:

*Edit*
So i've updated my drivers, but no luck. I think it actually got worse. I noticed that I can't connect to the internet through the launcher, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it...
