View Full Version : Ceilings glitch in mid-air

Ever since installing Apartment Life, and having the ability to edit ceilings, I have sometimes had a small problem with random tiles (of the same wood pattern as bare foundations) appearing after changing the ceilings in the 45 degree view. 99% of the time, they can just be deleted in the same way normal flooring is deleted ('Ctrl' and drag), but for some reason, in this current house I'm making, it has gone completely insane and I cannot find a way to delete them. They're just in mid-air and are slanted, and won't delete. I have tried a few things, such as toggling ceilings on and off, and undoing all the edited ceilings, but nothing happens.
Oh, I should mention that I have just today installed Bon Voyage, and this occurred over the beach part of a holiday home that I'm building.
Any help with this would be extremely appreciated - I would like to finish this house!
Thanks

You need to use CFE or the GridAdjuster to flatten the tiles. Then, you should be able to delete them.

What are they? Sorry, I'm fairly new to this website...

CFE is the cheat
boolprop constrainFloorElevation false

It will allow you to flatten the floor tiles and then you should be able to remove them.

The GridAdjuster is a program which will allow you to flatten the floor tiles outside of the game. You can find it from my profile page.

The other alternative is that the floor tiles are part of a foundation, in which case you may need to use <ctrl> plus a foundation tool to remove them.

Ah, thank you! CFE worked! Life saved.
