Is it possible to create custom wants and aspirations?

I have been wondering this for quite some time and today this quote:

You know, when I first saw the topic, I thought "Wait! Did someone create a whole new aspiration or fixed those that were removed?! 0o0".

Finally inspired me to ask this question.
Is it possible?

And if yes, I'd be really interested in learning how to do that.
The same old LTWs get boring too...

Actually, no, it isn't, the coding is just hard for anyone, except EA, to make up a new aspiration or fix those that were removed like the Power Aspiration: http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Power_%28aspiration%29 . This aspiration is somewhat complete but missing an icon and there is no (known) way of getting it back (into CAS). I really want it though, the icon is available too. I have asked before about whether it is possible to just get the icon into the game, but no one responded (apparently, no one knows). However, I am always trying to be optimistic, like I am about EA creating a whole new EP for sims 2 once the Sims 3 producing machinery explodes in their faces for good!

Yeah I know about the power aspiration and the unfinished crafting/creativity aspiration. This is why I'm wondering whether it would be possible to mod them.

Medieval aspirations or more variations would be cool.

I always thought this would have been one of those mods that would be really popular and wondered why it had never been done.

It's a shame no one ever managed to figure out the coding.

I would have like, five new items (by new items we mean chairs), and you'd have to buy the rest of the new stuff online. :lol:

I was thinking along the lines of them trying to make a Sims 2 version of Showtime, but yeah, they try to put all the good stuff in the store and make people pay extra for them.

I think it's the same thing with Turn Ons and Turn Offs. You cannot change them either, but I believe on SXS2 someone made a Turn On/Off that has a picture of [rude subject], but links to something already built in game, such as makeup or facial hair.

This conversation again. No, no-one has ever worked out how to add and aspiration and yes you can have new turn ons/offs but they have to replace existing ones. The ones that exist replace the broken custom hair turn on/off which is good because it becomes useable. There are two, I think, replacements for that turn on/off both by Tunaisafish.

There have been some new careers (Default Replacments) that have put in new wants for those specific careers, but otherwise than that, I've never seen anything to replace the 'wants' that naturally come with the game.
