View Full Version : The Wishing Well are not compatible with the Prosperity Tree, or?

Hmm ... it is said that the wishing well have extra features if you have Prosperity tree from Lunar World installed. The only thing I noticed is that the running water in the well disappears so therefore I uninstalled the tree and the water came back.
Am I missing something?

Some say there would be pixies or fireflies o the well at night, however there is a percentage that they would appear and that is not 100%... I don't have the problem with the well and other stuffs... but I use a fix over MATY.

Wasn't there a conflict between the Hidden Springs fountain and the magic spell book also?

Haven't heard of a conflict with the tree but some users have said the No Mosaic has conflicted.

Yes, the velocitygrass_nomosaic_1_34 isn't updated for Lucky Palms but Twallans Decensor works fine.

Do you have straming water in the fountain with the tree in the game? Are there any special effects with the tree?
The only thing I can see is som more steamy clouds in the well when I have the tree but I prefer the streaming water.

The streaming water is there from the three pipes with the Tree on the same lot, yes. I'm quite sure that all the graphics sparklies are working for me the way they are supposed to.
Oh, about the extra features you mention. I think it is the other way around. When you have the Wishing Well installed you get the extra feature on the Prosperity Tree: the pixie show or the fireflies show appearing at night. This is why Nonamena made that mod a while back to enable the pixie or firefly show on the Tree of Prosperity without needing the Wishing Well installed.

Does anyone have both Lucky Palms and the no mosaic for 1.34 and sees the fountains? Because I don't see how the no mosaic could be the reason. Unless worlds now come with their own effects resource and override the base game one, which wouldn't make sense either because then they'd have to be patched for every new expansion. So far I've read about three fixes unrelated to no mosaic that fixed the issue for people: Changing the graphics settings to something higher, replacing the wishing well on the lot, and in this thread removing the tree of prosperity.

I had taken it out at first after reading this report but then thought exactly what you say, too, and placed it back in. And last time I checked the water was still flowing.

@babele44: Thank you very much for that confirmation. I'm not sure why the effects for the store objects seem to be more unstable than the ones from EPs/SPs. One reason I just thought of on how the no mosaic might interfere is if the order of loading packages messes things up. Off to do some testing with the Fountain of Youth. ETA: Doesn't seem to make a difference if I put the mosaic in overrides or the FOY. Works fine in both cases. Whatever it is, I don't think the no mosaic is the issue.

There is a package file in the DCBackup folder called ccmerged.package. You must keep this file, even if you delete the backup stuff or things may not run right. Learned that from Crinrict, haven't had a problem since. I read that is where EA keeps the coding for the new PC items.
