Is there a mod to fix the generations reputations?

I find it kind of stupid that if a sims spouse dies and they get into another relationship, it is considered as cheating. I know that I could just get my sim to break it off with the ghost sim but then it will show up as 'ex-wife' which I don't want. Is there a way around this?
