Sims With Good Grades Keep Freaking Out

They also keep getting memories everytime they get an A+. It's starting to really annoy me. -_- I was told this isn't supposed to happen and I don't remember it when I played the game last time. Someone please help.

By freak out, I mean cheer and dance after getting their report card.. .-.
Also, my sims won't stop getting phone calls. I guess I'll just have to download that phone book.

Pescado has a NoAPlusSpam hack for which the rtfm simply says Only the first A+ memory is recorded. That would suggest that without this mod installed, it's normal to have a memory for each A+, unlike someone else told you. (And I seem to recall that being the case, before I got into mods.)

I think the mod also allows the freak out only once as well, at least with regard to running to scream at a parent about it. They may still fist-pump or something when first getting off the bus. It's been awhile since I've paid close attention to all this, so I might be wrong about a couple details.

As for the other issue, what kind of phone calls? And what phone book? I'm not aware of a phone book mod that stops excessive phone calls.

The sims that call asks if a household member is there to talk. It will always be the same sim they're asking about.. I'll tell them no, but sometimes they'll call up and ask again. I also get random strangers calling. Other times, I will spend all day talking to a sim before they have to go to work. Then I'll get a call that same day having them say that we don't spend enough time together. -_- As soon as I hang up, phone starts rining again. It feels as though my sims get six or seven phone calls in a row.

From what you say, I'm not sure if the phone is working correctly or not. The more friends the family collectively has, the more calls you can expect them to get. And if the relationships are decaying to the point where the friendship is about to be lost, they call even more.

But if you think there's something not right about how the phone is working in your game, back your game up, pull your Downloads folder, and test. I wish that the stupid sims atleast tried calling at different times. I will just try to the phone book for now. It seems a lot easier.. If it doesn't work, I'll try out what you said or just play my game with volume off when the phone starts ringing. xD

Someone said the only reason I keep getting spammed with the A+ memory is because I have the base game. I'm about to download Univerrsity soon, so that should fix my problem. But I'm kinda confused as to why it happened to you.. You obviously have Pets installed. .-.

I'm not convinced it's only a base game issue. I got into Sims 2 when Uni and NL were already out, so I've never been a base game only player, but I distinctly remember sims getting multiple A+ memories.

I've got the full game now, but I've also had noaplusspam installed for a long time, so I have no idea which EP put a stop to it.

ETA: For the phone issue, look for Pescado's phone hack too. It stops a lot of excessive calling, and when sims do call, instead of complaining that your sim never calls them then hanging up, they actually stay on to talk. From the rtfm:

There's also a phone hack that BLOCKS certain calls from ever happening - it's actually in maybe 8 parts to block that many different sort. I have the random calls blocked and the whining ones. Without random calls blocked if you have more than 4 or 5 friends that phone literally constantly rings - you can never invite anyone over. There's also an old one that lets you set how many times it rings - to 5, 10 or 15 (default is 20(!)) - you can turn it off altogether, which won't let you get the call for writing a novel though.
