View Full Version : Any way to make Main Street Pennant usable in-game?

Hi guys and sorry for a silly thread in case this has been addressed many times before or is mentioned in a big thread somewhere that I've missed.

I am really interested in using an item called Main Street Pennant in some of my lots in-game (I do not use CAW).

http://simswiki.info/images/a/a9/ContentListsCAW39.jpg

I know it's a CAW item and can be seen all over Appaloosa Plains. I cannot find it anywhere in my game in build/buy modes, and if I move one of the random ones in AP using the Edit World tool, then place a lot on top of it to "retrieve" it, it disappears.

I've been wondering if anyone anywhere found a way to make it usable in lots? I know people regularly unlock hidden objects and stuff. A mod is fine as long as the pennant will work for people without the mod (otherwise there is no point, as I'm a creator who always shares my creations). Not interested in a change that would render the object as CC though.

Any help is appreciated. :lovestruc

Hey there! You should be able to find this item in the "CAW resources" subforum. As you don't use CAW, put the package into your Mods folder and it should pop up in Edit World mode! I also recommend browsing this forum a bit, someone posted a very good tutorial on how to enable items for CAW/Edit World (I know finding certain objects can be tedious but don't give up! :D)

I don't think they are in the CAW resources section, but you will find them in this mod:

To make them useable on a lot though you'd have to mod the OBJD to make them show up in the game catalog.

Really? I thought they were. *scratches head* But I may be confusing things and might've simply enabled them for my own personal use at some point (because I know I've used them) and assumed I'd downloaded them here. Oops.

Or maybe I missed them, we have a lot of stuff in the resources section!

Rocker, you were right, and they are already all sorted in the mod.

I got side-tracked by simsample's comment and thought I needed to do something myself to get them to work, so spent around an hour fiddling with everything (I'm quite computer-illiterate) only to find that everything is already set accordingly to show up in the game.

Thank you both for your help though.
