The ENTIRE folder Sims 2 Double Deluxe folder is missing and my game reads all neighborhoods, presets, and EVERYTHING ELSE FROM THAT FOLDER. WHAT DO I DO?????
I installed the sims 2 double deluxe from Origin (previously EADM) I also installed the Sims 2 seasons, Fun with pets colllection, bon voyage, and university life collection expansion packs. What can I do to fix this? Will I have to uninstall and re-install everything? :!:

There's no need to uninstall and reinstall to get back the Maxis hoods:

What happens when you run the game? Do you see any neighborhoods? What's missing?

When I start the game, no neighborhoods are there. It only gives you the option to create a new one, which when you click it no terrains or anything pops up, just an empty menu

What happened immediately before your neighborhoods disappeared? Did you install a new EP? Did you uninstall an EP? Have you looked to see whether your neighborhoods are somewhere else on your hard drive? People have been known to accidentally move folders when they meant to select them, or accidentally delete folders. Look in your recycle bin and do a search on your hard drive for your neighborhood folders.

If you really can't find them, then you can use the article that I linked to get new copies of all of the neighborhoods.

Actually, I'm going to have to re-install The Sims™ 2 Double Deluxe because something happened because when I installed the game, the game folder did not pop up in My Documents and that folder contained all neighborhoods, sim data, saved sims, and everything. So I'm going to have to re-install it no matter what. I didn't delete or move any folders, for when I installed the game the folder was never there O.O

You don't need to reinstall to reset your save game. Just delete all of the Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 <XXX> folders (ie, any of the folders associated with Sims 2) and run the game. Everything will be regenerated. Reinstalling is overkill.

If you have nothing in your EA Games folder except for TS2, then you can just delete your entire Documents\EA Games folder and the entire thing will regenerate, along with all of the "The Sims 2 <XXX>" folders.

Of course, if the save game folder still doesn't appear, then there's definitely a problem with your installation. I've never seen that happen before.
